Chapter 9: Phoenix

As Klaus came back in with all the drinks and snacks he put them down on the stage of the community building. Reina steps up to look at everything until a brown bag catches her eye. On the bag was the logo for Griddy's Donuts. She looked inside to see a bunch of protein bars that they used to use before and after missions if they were tired.

"God, how old are these?" Reina said, taking a protein bar out of the bag and looking at the date before Klaus grabbed it out of her hands and opened it and shoving it all in his mouth.

"I packed those almost 20 years ago." Reina stated as the rest of the family laughed at Klaus' reaction. "How is it?"

 "It's dry, really dry." Klaus grabbed a bottle of alcohol before taking a big drink of it as everyone continued to laugh. Everyone ended up grabbing a snack and a drink as they sat together all facing towards the center of the building.

"Hey I have a fun idea!" Klaus shooted interrupting Luther who was talking about something random.

"What would that be Klaus?" Diego chimed in half expecting him to say something stupid.

"Since we all have been apart for so long, let's all say something interesting that happened to us since the last time we saw each other, And Eternals you are more then welcome to join in."

"I'm down" Luther responded

"Why not? '' Reina said, leaning back onto the wall as Druig rested his head on her shoulder. "Who starts?"

"I guess I'll go," Ajak said, sitting back down on a chair next to Ikarus. "I moved to South Dakota and learned how to ride horses."

"I haven't been doing much" Ikarus continued the game.

"Shooker!" Klaus said sarcastically as Ikaras gave him a death glare.

"I started teaching kids in London," Sersi explained.

"I became a movie star," Kingo replied, trying to one up Sersi.

"Same here," Allison said before taking a drink.

"I jumped around alot" Sprite interjected

"Me and Thena lived in the desert for a while" Gigamesh grabbed Thena's hand.

"I got married and had a kid," Phastos stated.

I stayed near the domo. Makkarri signed

"I created a community then met Reina" Druig said with a smile before kissing Reina neck.

"I became the real life batman" Diego explained

"Who lives in the boiler room of a gym he works at" Luther interjected as everyone giggled and Diego death stared him.

"So becoming a vigilante didn't work out too well?" Reina giggled as Diego lightfully punched her arm before something dawned on him.

"Wait, how did you know about the vigilante thing? You were far gone by then."

"I kept up with the news every once and awhile, you made headlines a couple times," Reina explained.

"Dad sent me to the moon for 4 years." Luther explained with his mouth full.

"Let me guess, Klaus got high.¨

"Oh Reina, you know me so well" Reina scoffed at Klaus's comment.

"I tried to time travel and got stuck in the apocalypse for 45 years, worked as an assassin for the commission, traveled back in time to save the world and ended up in a 13 year-olds body." Five take a sip of vodka that he put in a glass as the room goes silent for a second

"Okay... Viktor, you're next." Klaus spoke up, trying to lighten the mood.

"I joined an orchestra and got first chair for violin"

"That's great V, You were always good at violin" 

"Thanks Reina." Viktor Hugs Reina "We missed you so much" Reina smiled as Klaus begins to speak again

"Now, Let's get to the one person that we have all been waiting for... The amazing Reina. Anything exciting happens after you vanished into thin air?"

"I mainly just travel, tried a couple things with my powers before I stopped using them entirely, then I came here" Reina explained.

"Tried a couple of things with your powers. Like What?" Diego inquired. Reina didn't respond but created a ball of fire in her hand before throwing it at the ceiling. The Eternals and academy looked in amazement at the fireball shifted into the shape of a phoenix as it glided in circles above them as its body got more defined and morphed from flame to flesh as to came closer to the group before landing on Reina's shoulder, she feed it a pretzel from the bag she was eating out of. The phoenix hopped down into Reina's lap as she continued to pet it as everyone looked at her amazed, staring at the new animal that was created by the flames that Reina had thrown moments before.

"What the hell?" Kingo spoke after a moment of silence. "Now that was impressive." He reaches out to touch the phoenix and his eyes widen even more when he feels that it's real. It was breathing, it was alive. Everyone looked wide eyed at the bird that was made from nothing but fire. As if reading their mind Reina spoke up.

"Fire can do a lot more than you think."
