The rest of the night passed in a blur as everyone fell asleep in the community building. As usual Reina woke up around 5 am. She looked around to see Druig asleep as his face cuddled into her chest. She smiled to herself as she gently removed Druig, making sure not to wake him up. She stepped softly around her siblings to get to the door. She slowly creaked it open before sliding through and shutting it behind her. She walked to her cabin and slipped in, looking around and taking it in one last time, knowing that she was likely never to return, especially if this killed her. She packed a small bag with some clothes, and a couple little things that had served as reminders of her adventures, some frozen flowers from around the world that she had frozen to keep them vibrant and alive forever under a light coat of see through ice, a small stack of postcards from her adventures that she had written on the back wanting to send them back to her siblings but never got the courage to, and some small pins from different countries. As she grabbed the box that had her umbrella academy necklace stashed away inside, she opened it again to see an old action figure of her with a mask and pictures of her and the umbrella academy that had been cut out of newspapers. She laughed as she felt herself start to tear up at the memories. She quickly wiped her tears before putting the box into the duffel bag that she was going to take with her.
Zipping it up, she walked towards the door. As she stepped out of the cabin she felt the morning breeze hit her as she looked out toward the path that she had walked so many times since she came here. One last walk couldn't hurt right? She placed the duffel bag inside the cabin before closing the door again and starting to walk down the path towards the river. She felt the wind hit her face. She looked around at the fallen trees that had crashed due to the Deviant attack. Looking closer at the trees her mind got trapped in her thoughts. Your majesty. Why did it call her that? She knew she was missing something, but what? As she shook the thought out of her head, she reached the river and looked down. The water created a mirror reflection of Reina. There she was. The girl of her past came back so quickly. Her hair stayed the cherry red as her eyes were shining blue. She wore a black track jacket with the umbrella academy logo on it that matched the necklace she wore once again after so many years. She wanted to throw out the jacket but she could never bring herself to do it. Because no matter how hard she tried to hide it, that's who she is. She watched behind her as the moon began to disappear to the other side of the world where it would be unseen as the sun began to show on the other side of the river and that's when a realization hit. The beginning of a new day, one that could be the beginning of the end, one that remained unlike any other before. An unpredictable day where only time could tell what would happen. Her life here was over and if this ended how she thought it would, the rest of her life would be over soon too. But she was ready to fight once more. She had her family back. The siblings she cared for. Her boyfriend that she loved. The world that she wanted to save. She wasn't going to let them down.
She walked back to her house and grabbed her bag. This was it. What the umbrella Academy was made for. To save the world. It was who they were. And there was no escaping that.
