After everyone finishes eating, Phastos starts to hand out different objects to each of them. He handed out 9 of the 10 sleek metal looking bracelets to the other eternals while explaining how they would allow the Eternals to transfer power to one of them so they could give energy to Druig during the battle. Phastos then proceeded to hand out 4 metal disks looking things to the gods.
"Each of you already has a personal weapon. Val you have your sword, Hela you have your... swords?" Phastos practically asked the last point, not knowing what to call the weapon she uses.
"Necroswords" Hela corrects.
"Necroswords," Phastos repeats before continuing, "Loki has his scepter and Thor has his hammer."
"Mjolnir." Thor corrected.
"Okay," Phastos says dismissively, "So what you do is take the disk and place it on the base of your weapon and it will double the power output and damage it can do."
"So you care that Hela's weapon has a name but not mine?" Thor replied, annoyed and ignoring Phastos's comment about the device.
"Hers has a cool name, your is just weird" Phastos said, not paying him any attention. Everyone snickered at the comment and Phastos's nonchalant demenour causing Thor to pout.
"He's got a point brother." Reina claimed, the smirk evident in her voice.
As they were talking, Phastos hands out 6 necklaces each with a number 1-5 on it then a 7 to each of the Umbrella Academy members minus Reina. Phastos then went on to explain, in a very drawn out manner, that the necklaces were specifically designed to enhance each of their specific abilities and that he put numbers on them because if someone wore one of the necklaces that wasn't designed for their power it would do nothing for them. After about a 20 minute, unnecessary long explanation that honestly felt like it had lasted 3 hours, he grabbed the final 2 objects. One was a small disk similar to the one he had given to the gods but this one seemed to be slightly smaller and instead of a smooth metallic surface it was black with small cracks on the surface that glowed gold. The second was a necklace that had a stone similar to the one on her staff but smaller with a gold chain.
"The disk will fit at the base of your staff and will absorb extra powers from Surtur as a way to weaken him more. I reversed engineered the stone on your staff so instead of reflecting your power, the necklaces should protect your body from harm if you absorb too much by taking some of the energy into itself and storing it until it can be redirected."
"How long will it hold for?" Reina inquired
"Only about an hour once it's at full capacity. It will begin to pulsate meaning that it is about to break. Once it is broken it will release all the energy trapped inside so try not to get it to full capacity. It will glow when it starts to get too full."
"You're welcome Reina," he nods back before turning to the rest and continuing, "We have 6 days, including today, until Surtur comes here trying to end the world. I'm tracking heat signatures right now to find where he will be coming from so we can prevent him from expanding. The tracking might take a couple days to pinpoint but until then everyone, get out of my lab."
