Y/n bobbed her leg, one crossed over the other as she tapped her finger over her other hand. Y/n sat in the conference room, her eyes glued to the table in front of her. She sat at a table, full of executives of her company and her father's. Her eyes were lost in the oh-so-interesting blank surface, that her ears tuned out of the conversations that were taking place at the table.

"So, what do you think about it, Ms. Choi?"

"Ms. Choi...?"

Y/n's eyes finally flickered upward, meeting the dozens of eyes that stared back at her with expectant looks. "Sorry... what did you say?"

"We... were discussing a possible promotion for NoveTV in collaboration with the Chairman's company... Are you feeling alright, Miss?"

"Would you like some water?"

"Perhaps you're hungry?"

"Maybe-?"

Y/n raised her palm, silencing the executives immediately. She smiled, softly, her eyelids heavy. "I think I just need a bit of rest. I wasn't able to sleep much last night because of the stacks of paperwork i had to fill out from our last meeting.." She said, letting out a tired laugh. "I apologize. I've been having a bit of trouble keeping up recently with all that's going on."

Goo stood behind Y/n, staring at the back of her head with steady eyes. He could only wonder, what was going on in that head of hers?

"Oh, of course!"

"Yes, right! Well, we can reschedule to finish the contents of this meeting on a later date." The executives all nodded. "Yes, besides, we've already discussed the most important points. Be observant of your emails, I will be sending the new information, including the new date for our next meeting, through there. Have a good night gentlemen... and Ms. Choi."

Y/n looked back at Goo. He understood.

"I'll get the car."

.

.

The clacking of Y/n's heels echoed as she made her way to the car. Goo stood by her door, holding it open. His eyes were steady on the distant look on her face. Once she reached the car and was going to slide into her seat, Goo stopped her. "Y/n... are you okay?"

Y/n blinked, shaking the distant look on her face before smiling like she normally does. "Yep. I'm great." No detection of tiredness in her face. But Goo could see it in her eyes. He knew that glint. He also knew that if he mentioned it, she would be upset. "...Right." Goo said simply, then gestured her into the car, closing the door after her.

Last night, Jace visited Y/n, trying to get her to join them to take down one of the four major crews, Hostel. Unfortunately, she had to make a decision between her father's will, to create a greater relationship with the partnering companies for NoveTV, or her own will, to help her friends.

"I'm sorry, Jace... Kouji won't answer, and I don't know how else I could be of use to you guys..."

Jace held a look of sorrow. She could tell Jace was really trying to help his friends. And he really needed her to be there, too.

"You can come with us, Y/n. Fight with us." He said, placing a soft hand on her forearm.

In that moment, although there was a strong pull towards her friend, the subconscious, magnetic pull Y/n felt to obeying her father was far greater. Jace realized this when Y/n turned her back on him, her face hidden away by fallen strands of her hair. Her voice broke as she spoke. "I'm truly sorry, Jace..."
