texting with the boy for the last hour as she kept pushing back the time she would be able to sneak him into her room, and almost fifteen minutes after her elder brother snuck out, penelope quietly made her own way out of her bedroom into the backyard and around the side to their front yard.
she stood there with her arms loosely folded, softly biting down on her lip as she watched the boy get out of his car which was parked across the street, a couple houses down.
"would you look at you, little miss no-so-innocent," jonah chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her lower back, looking down into her eyes with a small smirk on his lips.
"shh.. my parents room's right there," she pointing up at the top floor, than taking his hands off of herself. "follow me.."
walking back to her bedroom, the jock loosely folded his arms as he glanced around the room, subtly furrowing yet nodding at her posters then looking back at the girl after she had shut the sliding door.
"you have an easy room to sneak out of," he stated.
"mhm," she nodded. "i do."
"do you have an older brother?" he asked, watching her nod again. "ollie?"
"mhm, yeah.."
"i recognised the house, i've been here before with the boys, but the only sister i remember him having was heaps younger," he mentioned, slightly wandering around as she took a seat on the edge of her bed, hands in her lap while she fiddle with her fingers.
"yeah, viv, she's fourteen," penelope closely watched him and his movements. "i was at-" she cut herself as she realised it'd probably sound weird that she remembered the day he was talking about. "i don't know, i was probably at aurora's place or work or something.."
"mh.. anyway.." he walked over to in front of her, gently lifting her chin up with his finger. "enough about your siblings.." staring into the girl's eyes and seeing her cheeks turn red, pushing a strand of her hair away from her face. "you're so pretty."
"i've never been kissed," she blurted out.
"oh.." he pulled away from her in slightly confusion. "what happened to 'of course i've kissed someone'?" he softly chuckled while taking a seat next to her, causing her to turn towards him a little.
"i lied.."
"and why haven't you kissed someone?"
"never had an opportunity to, i guess," she subtly shrugged.
"never played seven minutes in heaven?" he somewhat jokingly asked. "spin the bottle?"
"do people actually play those things?"
"fucked if i know, i never have- actually maybe i have, i faintly remember being like fifteen, drunk and some girls being like 'whoever it lands on you've gotta make out with us'."
"at fifteen?!" she furrowed.
"yeah, what's wrong with that?"
"sounds kinda young to be getting drunk, no?"
"i mean probably," he shrugged. "my parents did think i was at a friends place and that their parents were home, but they weren't so went that party."
"mh.."
"anyway.. i'm just putting it out there that.. i don't know, if you wanna like.. devirginize your lips.. the opportunity's here.."
she awkwardly glanced away from him down to her hands for a couple seconds, then back at him. "why did you want to come over?" she changed the subject.
"get to know you," he shrugged.
"why, though?"
"am i not allowed to?"
"it's just kinda weird.."
"look, i think you're pretty, like you're really good looking.. and like you just seem interesting to get to know," jonah explained. "and you know what, even if you don't want anything with me, i'm willing to still help you get out of your like comfort zone and do things you haven't done.."
"will you promise me, that you won't tell anyone about the things we do?" she asked. "i know you boys talk a lot.."
"nah i won't tell," he quickly shook his head.
"mh.. because i told you not to or because you're embarrassed of me?"
"what? no! because you asked, of course," he replied. "i've already told the team about you and to not touch you, may have gotten a little hands on yesterday but anyway.."
"oh.. okay.."
"so you gonna take up on that kiss offer, or..?" he raised a brow, as penelope lifted her leg up onto the bed between them and slightly turned towards him more. "can i kiss you?"
she softly nodded as jonah brought his hand up to her cheek, leaning in and connecting there lips. he slowly started moving his lips against her's, penelope soon catching on to the rhythm and following along with things for a couple more seconds before she pulled away — her cheeks instantly turning a brighter shade of red.
"well there's one thing off your never done list," he chuckled, watching her bit down on her lip.
"mh.."
after awkwardly glancing anywhere away from him, she heard her phone ding which caused her to check it and read the message from her elder brother. she quickly replied, then setting it back down beside her and finally making eye contact with the boy in front of her.
"you're cute," jonah smiled at her.
"um.. ollie's on his way home, his plans didn't work out, and he sorta uses my room to sneak in and out.." she received a small hum. "and i don't want him to know about this.. yet.."
"you want me to leave, don't you?"
"yes please.."
"alright, i get it," he shrugged as he stood up, shoving his own phone in his pocket. "you gotta walk me out though."
"i will," she copied his actions, yet keeping ahold of her phone instead of putting it away.
she followed him out of her bedroom and back down the side of the house, stopping towards the front. jonah wrapped his arms around her lower back, pulling her in close to himself as he stared into her eyes.
"don't let this just be the one thing, hey?" he saw a small nod from her, leaning down and placing a singular kiss on her lips as he then unwrapped his arms from her. "see you tomorrow."
"see you tomorrow," she returned the smile.
she stood there for a few seconds, watching him walk back to his car and get inside. the biggest smile formed on her face and her cheeks begun to heat up once again as she quickly made her way back to her room with a skip in her step. letting out a small sigh of happiness as she fell on her bed, burying her head into her pillows as she softly screamed.
