"are you going out tonight?" penelope questioned her brother as they drove home from her work.
"i don't know, maybe, why?" he looked over at her as they stopped at a set of traffic lights. "you inviting your boy over again tonight-"
"what?"
"the guy you had over the other night?" he chuckled at her reaction to the topic as he continued driving. "i was gonna go see friends then i heard you and him talking and i wasn't going to interrupt whatever was going on.."
"nothing was happening!" she quickly defended herself.
"not gonna deny that you had a guy over-"
"shut up!" she scoffed, folding her arms as she looked out the passenger window.
"who's the guy?"
"i'm not answering that."
"do i know him?"
"no."
"right," he slowly nodded. "so why'd you wanna know if i was going out?"
"i'm gonna go hang out with my friends and.."
"yous wanna drink, huh?"
"they do, yeah.."
"send me money then, i'll get matt to get you some and we'll drop it off," he agreed.
"thank you," she smiled.
arriving at their house, they headed inside and greeted their mother before they both going to their own rooms. and for penelope, she grabbed comfy clothes and went into the bathroom to have a shower.
a few hours passed and ollie had already gone out with the davis parents' knowledge while penelope was now sneaking out of her room without theirs. meeting elias out the front, they begun the somewhat short walk to the beach they had spend many night during summer at.
"penny!" aurora pulled the girl into a hug, before moving onto the boy. "el!"
"where's the drinks, pen, it was your turn," layla asked.
"ollie's bringing them," she replied. "probably in like twenty, i'll message him."
"i still have these," elias waved the bag in his friends face as they all sat down in a circle on the picnic blanket. "vodka, coke, andd tonic water."
"and ollie's getting sprit, whiskey, and some i think white claws or whatever premix he can get," penelope mentioned. "i gave him like forty dollars so he better pull through."
"girl wants to drink tonight," elias laughed.
"she probably needs it after frantzich's bullshit this week," aurora shook her head at the thought of said boy.
"yes," she chuckled in agreement, grabbing a plastic cup off of her male friend and letting him fill it up with some liquor.
"we're gettin' her drunk tonight!" elias cheered as he poured more than what he knew she wanted.
"that's enough!" she grabbed his hand with the bottle and lifted up back up, not wanting to just pull her cup away and spill the alcohol on the blanket.
"why not get drunk, invite him here, see where things go," layla suggested, softly shrugging.
"no," aurora disagreed on the other's behalf. "i'm not letting him of all guys be around her while she's drunk- i'm not saying he take advantage or whatever, i don't that about him but i just don't want that to possibly happen.."
"i agree," elias chimed in.
"nothing's gonna happen if we're all here," the other girl furrowed.
"there's this guy in my math class," penelope spoke up, changing the topic.
"yeah, jonah, we know.."
"no, not jonah.."
"ohhh" elias dragged his expression out. "girl's moved on already."
"no, no," she shook her head once again.
"what's this about then?" aurora furrowed. "who knew penny would be getting all the guys this year."
"it's what she deserves," the boy gently nudged her. "it's about time people start recognising how hot you are."
"i'm just changing the subject, rory," penelope answered. "anyway.. he told me not to say this but mh, i would rather say it.. he thinks you're hot, el."
"me?!" elias exclaimed, watching the girl take a sip of her drink as she nodded. "who? do i know him? is he hot?
"he's new and only started this year.. i don't know if he's in one of your classes or like- no he must've seen us together at some point cause like he called you my friend and he didn't know your name, plus it would've been weird if he just mentioned find someone hot to a random person, you know?"
"yes, penny," he chuckled. "but is he hot?"
"he is quite fine, yes," she nodded. "tall, tan complex, structured features.. very much a guy you'd see online and tell us all the things you wanna do with them-"
"that was uncalled for."
"what's this guys name?" layla asked, looking up from her phone. "i'm gonna find him."
"marco.. i don't know his surname, so i don't know how well that's gonna go."
"do you know any of his friends? what school he went to before? anything?"
"nope," penelope shook her head. "we were just talking yesterday while we walked to science together, it was mainly about jonah and then he brought how he thought one of my friends are hot."
"hm.." she softly hum as she looked through instagram a little more. "oh found him!"
"show me," elias quickly snatched her phone out of her hands.
"how?" aurora laughed.
"checked the school account," she subtly shrugged. "that's the only marco that follows and he happens to have class of 23 and the rainbow flag in his bio. made things easy."
"he is.." he playfully fanned himself with his mouth slightly open, then grabbing his phone out.
"don't follow him!" penelope stopped the boy from unlocking his phone. "don't do anything!"
"it's finee," he brushed her off.
"stop!"
"let me just have his account there for um.. future purposes, stop stressing," he laughed.
"don't follow him," penelope repeated.
"i'm not, see," he turned his phone around to show her, closing the app and the turning his phone off. "now stop stressing and let's have our us night. no mentioning of potential boyfriends."
