spending the early after down at the community hall, penelope and her friend were setting up the space for her halloween birthday party later that night. the five of them then getting changed into their costumes and getting ready there.
meanwhile jude had spent the morning at the davis' home, hanging out with leonardo after sleeping in past the time penelope was leaving. and as it came closer to the start of the party, cecelia had brought jude to the hall along with a couple things for the event.
"hi barbie.." jude said as he somewhat awkwardly stood there, smiling the second penelope turned around to face him. "sorry, my bad.. hi taylor swift, huge fan."
"hi ken," she giggled with the biggest smile, glancing his barbie movie costume up and down.
"now you all better behave tonight.." cecelia chimed in, looking around between her daughter and her friends. "have lots of fun and enjoy the night but stay safe, we'll be back to get you all at midnight."
"mhm, thank you," penelope replied. "thanks for letting me have a party."
"it's your eighteenth, you deserve it," she smiled before turning her attention to the teen boy under her care; "now jude, your mother said you're not allowed to drink.. if you want to, we won't tell. but if there's a reason for it, you're mature enough to make that choice not to on your own."
"yeah, yeah.. i know," he nodded. "i probably won't but thanks.."
"alright.. and call me if anything happens or.. anything, your father and i will be here," cecelia concluded her little babble to make sure the teen stay safe.
"yes, mom, we will."
"okay, and ollie should be here in a little," she continued. "and if cops show up, we know nothing about alcohol being consumed here."
"yes, mom, we went over all this the other week," penelope nodded once again, walking over towards her and partly signalling to walk towards the enterance. "we'll be alright."
"okay, okay.. i'll see you all later."
"bye mom. we'll all be very safe."
sharing another goodbye, cecelia was soon leaving the community hall as penelope made her way back across the space to her friends. her main three friends cheering with excitement for the night.
"i'm excited," penelope said with the biggest smile, then glancing over her shoulder at jude.
"go, go," aurora gently pushed her, noting her actions. "go hang out with him for a bit. we'll finish setting this up."
"okay, thank you," she said before spinning around and going over to the boy. "good morning.."
"hi pretty," jude softly wrapped his arms around her back, pulling her in closer. "can i kiss you?"
