the day following her birthday, penelope came home from school and just like she had been the last over twenty-four hours, she was still stuck in her mind about the two boys wanting her.
shutting the door behind herself while walking into her bedroom, setting her bag down by her desk. her gaze soon moved up to the bouquet from the american boy sat on the dresser in the corner of the room. standing there just staring at them for a moment.
she took a deep breath and let out a small sigh as she stepped closer, grabbing out a pair of sweatpants from one of the drawers and quickly got changed out of her jeans before climbing into bed.
instantly getting lost in her thoughts as she scrolled through her camera roll, looking at all the photos of her and jude with a smile across her face. but as she kept scrolling, the expression didn't change as the very few with her and jonah appeared.
she can't lie. despite the fact he made her so upset towards the end of their time together, she enjoyed all their other moments so much. the happiness they experienced seemed to replace all the bad memories in her mind.
and while she keep flicking through the pictures, bouncing back and forth between the ones with each boy, out in the kitchen cecelia was helping her youngest son with his homework.
"i wanna play outside," leonardo groaned as he wasn't quite understanding the math equation.
"you've got a lot coming for you, buddy," she softly chuckled at the nine year old. "let's go over it again, you know how to do this, i know you do."
"fine."
after spending almost ten more minutes still on the one equation, leonardo finally got the answer and cecelia started reading out the next one while he was still giving her a difficult time about it before the doorbell had rung.
"go let jude in, and we can do the rest after dinner," she gave in, letting out a small sigh as she stood up.
"yay!" he cheered, instantly running over to the door and opened it to see it was in fact the british teen. "do you wanna play soccer with me?!"
"yeah, hey to you too leo," he chuckled, staying stood there as he waited for the little one to move out of the way.
"please," he begged.
"can i come in, or am i stuck out here till i agree?" he laughed as the boy finally step away so he could come inside. "i'll come kick the ball around but let me go see your sister first, say hi to her."
"okay."
"i'll meet you out there," watching the boy excitedly wander outside, jude walked over to by the kitchen and sent cecelia a small smile. "hey cece."
