It's been the same ever since. Juliet was always the assistant. She did his dirty work most of the time, while he sat on the throne reading a book.
Juliet sat up in her seat, and looked up from her lap. "Hey...are you alright?" She shook her head, and smiled. "Yeah. I'm fine." Mr. Hope glanced back at Cedric who was staring out the window. "Kiddo, we're almost there." He gently smiled, and concentrated on the window. "Sir... you're going over the speed limit."
"To be precise, ten miles over." Mr.Hope glanced at Cedric, and looked at the speedometer. "Wow... did you look?" Cedric shook his head. "No sir... I calculated it."
"Interesting..."

After a few seconds of holding the bottle next to his mouth, he frowned and decided it was worthless to drink it now.
General looked down at the bottle before pouring a drop of it on the house plant. Within seconds, the plant shriveled up, almost as if it had never existed. He sat besides the plant, waiting for it's positive reaction. Finally it sprouted out, colorful leaves, the colors of the rainbow. The petals were bright white, and beautiful. General thought about the things he's wanted most... and closed the bottle. It was good to know he had a bottle of Somnium. Out of past experience, he knew some of his men were going to be scarred. A drop of Somnium would usually solve the problem. Sometimes the drop erased too much... so he didn't use it unless it was the only solution.
General got up from the floor, and walked over to the fridge. He was about to out the bottle in the fridge when he read the note.
Joseph,
By the time you come back... you'll probably realize that I'm not here. I've moved out of the apartment, and into another one. I'm sorry for everything.
- Wendy
General sighed, and crumpled the note up. He didn't really care where she went. It wasn't like he loved her anyways. He had only said that, that one time when he was drunk. He didn't know what he was saying. Nor did he care.

Kai laid down on the bed, and glanced over at Jake. "I'm sorry..." He whispered. Kai chuckled, and ran her fingers through his hair. "I lost control..." Jake laced her fingers with his, and smiled. "I didn't think that was going to happen." He muttered.
Kai stared at the ceiling, looking at the shape and detail. "Jake... do you think when this is all over... we could go back to the way things were?" He glanced over at Kai, and sighed.
"I wished it was that easy. We have to think about Lily now..."
"I am thinking about Lily... I always have."
Jake frowned, and sat up. "Well... Lily needs a school to go to..."
Kai sat up, and threw her shirt. "We can just teach her..."
He shook his head. "No... I think Lily should live a normal life, with kids her own age. She'll learn much more that way." Kai frowned.
"Jake... I just don't want the kids to make fun of her. She's different than them. What happens if they don't like her?"
He shrugged. "Who cares if they like her? All that matters is that she has a family and a home."
Kai got up from the bed, and put on her pants. "Well yeah... but wouldn't it be nice if she had friends? I heard people learn more when they are people supporting her."
Jake sighed. "We'll support her. She doesn't need anyone else other than us to make her feel confident. You almost make it sound like you don't love Lily."
"I love Lily... much more then you do! You don't understand how it feels to have no one!"
"I DON'T UNDERSTAND!? I'VE BEEN ALONE LONGER THAN YOU HAVE!"
Kai gritted her teeth, and walked over to the door. She threw it open. "TALK TO ME WHEN YOU'RE DONE BEING A JACK-ASS."
She slammed the door behind her, and walked through the forest. "Stupid idiot Husband..."
She felt the dirt underneath her feet, the grass swiping against her legs. After a while, Kai leaned against a tree to catch her breath.
"Pregnant people...suck...at leaving..." She took a deep breath, and closed her eyes. "The sound of nature is so peaceful..." she told herself.
The sounds of the birds chirping and the animals waking up... In a matter of seconds... it was all gone. It was dead silence... Kai opened her eyes, and took a step back. A clear piece of string sliced her arm down to the bone.
Gritting her teeth, she watched all the string fall to the floor, making it almost impossible to pass through without slicing your feet. Kai's eyes widened, her breath thickening when she cried out. The pain was flowing everywhere... It all hurt...
Tears raced down her face, her cries growing louder and louder. She slid down to the tree, and sobbed. She closed her eyes, trying to hold in her cries.
In a matter of seconds, someone was next to her. "Jake!"
He ran over to her, the clear strings giving him small snaps on his legs. He gritted his teeth, holding in his pain.
Blood spilled out of her arm at a fast rate, huge puddles forming on the floor. Jake patted down his pants, and pulled out his keys. "DAMN IT!"
He turned around and saw the emergency kit station. He knew this route was for hikers... and they got hurt often. The staff naturally came up with this idea to help those who are injured. He fished out the stitching wire... but frowned once he realized it was empty.
------------------------------------------------------
He threw things across the floor, hoping that somewhere deep in the bag, possibly the bottom, had another reel. Panicking, he kissed my forehead. "Kai..."
"Jake, I'll be fine. I promise you." I said, raising my arm to place my hand on his cheek. He glanced back at all the blood, and frowned. "No! You're not fine! You're going to bleed to death! We're right here Kai! We've finally got a family... I've finally got you in my arms! IF YOU DIE I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'LL DO!"
Furious tears dripped down his face, his hands shaking. "Jake... get Lily out."
He shook his head. "No... I'm not going to take Lily out. You'll die for sure then..." I ran my fingers through his hair, and gently smiled. "Please...take her out... I want to see my baby before I die. I want to know she won't die with me... take her out Jake..."
He gritted his teeth, and gripped the handle of his knife. He pointed the edge against my stomach, and sliced. I gritted my teeth, and closed her eyes. It was silent... then the sound of a baby crying.
"How...beautiful..." Jake handed Lily to me... "She's so beautiful... she's all I thought she would be..." My tears dripped down on Lily.
-----------------------------------------------------
Jake took Lily out of Kai's hands for a spare moment, to wrap his shirt around her. "Here...take her..." Kai smiled, and held Lily close to her. "Lily was the perfect name..."
Jake started to look at the both of them when Kai's eyes started to close... and her hand dropped. "KAI!"
