It was nothing other than a dream. Or rather, that was what I wanted to believe. There was no possible way, that the man that had held me was actually here. His tan hands were holding me up, and his serious eyes looked at me. "Did you forget about me?" I shook my head. "No. Now put me down."
It would have been better if I died. Or rather, if I was able to stay here no matter what. But Jake has different plans. If Jake was really willing to take me out of this Island he was going to have to do it himself. There's no way I'm going to agree with him, and let him take me away from the Island.
"If I put you down, you will try to run off again. And I will not look forward to your troublesome manner." He looked at the gold coin. "Did you just...?"
He frowned. "I told you we were no longer safe. What gives you the slightest idea that trying to complete a test would do any good?!"
I could see the anger in his eyes. It was almost as if he was glaring at me. I didn't know what to say about it, there was really nothing much to the fact that he was willing to find every little piece of evidence to persuade me into leaving.
Jake still held me, but his hold got tighter. "Are you ever going to answer me?" He said tears forming in his eyes. "I know I seem selfish...and rude. But you have to believe me. I love you and I'm only doing this for you."
"I don't want to lose anyone this important to me. Not again." I jumped out of his arms, looking rather disgusted. I could see his shocked face in the corner of my eyes. I got up on my toes, leaning in, giving Jake a kiss.
I didn't think. I didn't hesitate. I did what my mind was begging me to do. I pulled away, looking up wt his blue eyes. "I love you too." he stayed quite for a while.
He placed a hand on my back, pulling me in for another kiss. After several kisses, his hand drifted down my leg. I ignored it, and continued to kiss him. Jake pulled away, and removed his hand. "What's wrong?" He looked down at the sand. "Nothing."
"Jake." I said, hand over his heart. He gulped, and looked at my eyes. "I'm not going to do something that will cause you regret later." He reached out for my hand. "So lets go home for now."
He gave me a light peck on the cheek. We walked hand in hand, all the way down to the camp. Once the door clicked open, I smiled. It felt like home. It smelled like home. Jake looked at my cheerful expression. "It really is like home." I walked into our room and flopped on the bed. Jake chuckled, and sat on the bed. He ran his fingers through my hair, still looking at my eyes.
I lent out a hand, dragging him with me. "It isn't fun unless you are with me." Now that Jake had laid besides me, I snuggled close. "Jake, what would happen to you after you send me home?"
"Nothing. I'll be the same as always." He smiled. "Nothing's going to change that." I chuckled. "Figures." I said going to the bathroom to change. Once that was done, I slipped back in bed, moving the covers over Jake and I.
It was quiet as Jake and I slept under the covers.
"I love you." He said taking my hand. I looked up to see his serious face. "I really do."
After that small dream of him repeating himself, my eyes fluttered open, seeing the bright light once again. I sat up in my bed, looking at the open windows. I stretched, and walked over to the bathroom. I opened the door, walked over to the sink, and brushed my teeth. When I finally chose to look at myself in the mirror, my eyes widened. They changed again.
