Kai gripped onto the seat-belt, and closed her eyes. For a moment, it was like there was no such thing as noise. Maybe because it was all part of our imagination...

She waited for the impact. That was going to hurt most.  Bones would be crushed from the fall, and she was almost positive that the car would light on fire... or something like that. But the impact never came. She slowly opened her eyes, and looked over at the others. They were staring... watching her as if she was some type of alien. "What?"

She glanced out the window, and her eyes widened. "Did... did I do this?" Madam nodded, her jaw dropping. "We... how are we going to get out...? We're fifty feet off the ground!"

"Mr. Hope never took care of me personally... Juliet did. She was the one that made sure I was alive. At first, they treated me like I was their real son. Sometimes... only sometimes, Hope would get out of his office, just to play with me."

"Wait... so he wasn't that bad...so, there was a time he wasn't insane?" He shook his head. "No... he has always been bad. I just didn't notice it right away. Back then, Hope's properties weren't beaten. It was Juliet, who was beaten."

Cedric's eyes widened. "I'd think she'd be the last one to be beaten... doesn't Hope love her?" Thomas shook his head. "Hope doesn't love. It was Juliet that loved him."

"What?!" David yelled. "Quiet down..." James muttered. "Haven't you ever thought of it... why Juliet had stayed by his side this whole time...?"

"To be honest... I wondered why she always listened to him... I thought it was fear, so I never asked her."

"Juliet was in a arranged marriage with Hope. But they never got married." David rolled his eyes. "My niece is in an arranged marriage. It doesn't really mean he loves him though. I mean... if he touched her... there would be problems. Right?" Cedric gulped and nodded. "But... she could have started to love him over the years... or she knew him before that, and she had always loves him."

Thomas shook his head. "There's much more to the story... as Juliet had informed me, Juliet once loved another man. It was Hope's brother. He was brought into the family when his father thought Hope was old enough to understand what was going on. You see... his brother was older than him, which meant that Hope wouldn't be able to take over the throne. So he killed him. And once that was done, he killed his own father."

"You can only imagine what else he's done..." Lucas gently smiled. "I see..."

"He made quite the mistake..." David muttered as he twisted the cap back on his tea. "I'm not sure if you're willing to tell us... but I'd like to know what happened to your eye." Thomas gently smiled, and lifted his bangs up. A large red slash covered up the left side of his face. "I forgot to make tea..." he said with a laugh.

"Ah! I know what you're talking about! Hope sure wants his tea! I lost my finger because of it." He said, proudly showing us the missing chunk of flesh and bone. "So you lost your eye because of it?"

Thomas nodded. "I'll never forgive that bastard for what he did to me..." James rolled up his sleeve. "I forgot to make tea as well."

Cedric's eyes widened. Everything he had gone through must have been nothing. He silently thanked himself for always remembering to make him tea. He didn't know what he'd do if he lost a piece of his body. "Oh, you finally got it replaced!" Lucas shouted emotionally. "I'm happy for you." He said with a smile.

James nodded... "I still can't control it very well though." Cedric was about to say something when the bus stopped. "Why are we stopping?" One of the Generals shouted. "I'm sorry but it seems as if... we've run into a problem."

"A PROBLEM?! WELL, FIX IT!  WE AREN'T PAYING YOU TO SIT AND DO NOTHING." The general started walking over to the front. "MOVE IT KID!"

Lucas grabbed Cedric from where he was sitting on the floor, and held him on his lap. "Stupid Children... Hope could've picked better people."

"That's General Rain... people call him that because he always ruins things... I mean Rain is good, but he's a strong supporter of Hope, and that ruins it."

Cedric glance over at him. He looked strong and smart... that was assuming that he actually took care of himself. But if Hope made him General... there obviously has to be something special about him. "He is... Hope's greatest treasure. He has never been beaten. Not once... he has his own room for himself, which I personally think isn't fair since there's 312 of us."
