"It's probably nothing Cedric. We're all under protection anyways." He said digging a finger through the barrier. The atmosphere showed a clear dent and didn't let his finger through the invisible barrier. "See?"

Cedric nodded, still a bit cautious about the man sitting in the back. He was shady all right. Had a big black hat covering his face, with a long black trench-coat that made him almost invisible in this darkness.

Soon it was time for the three of them to go onto the stage, still convinced someone here  was unwanted, Cedric kept a good watch on them. They walked onto the stage, the three of them standing close as a group.

"Good evening." General said, looking at all the people around him. "Before we start our presentation we would like to thank our friends Peter and Wendy who passed out the flyers. Thank you guys. We would also like to thank the madam from the north household 152. Thank you for helping us set this up." She gently smiled, and waved at us.

I knew she was here because Peter was here. She was a good woman, and I feel bad for her. Her rights were taken away, given no chance for a good future.

General looked at me, giving me the signal that it was my turn to talk. "Ladies and Gentlemen we are here today to talk about the past, present and future."

"That's right. We've gone through somethings you would could only imagine." Jake said, taking a step closer. "And... It's given us the courage to fight for what we believe in."

"I was kidnapped when I was a child. I didn't know what was going on back then. I didn't know what was going on, I was knocked out before I was able to understand. When I awoke, I was locked up in a room, chained to the wall of a old dirty room. No doors. No windows. Noting but a hole in the ceiling. But every morning I woke up with food. Every morning the room was different. The chains got loose, the days got shorter. And then one day I heard the noises of a boy getting in through the hole. I didn't know who it was, but it sure seemed quite...weird. So I closed my eyes thinking that something bad would happen if i opened them. But it was just Jake. And he gave me quite the surprise." Jake blushed and scratched the back of his head. "It turned out he was also locked up in a room at some point, but had managed to escape. We managed to escape after he got stuck in the room with me, and after we almost drowned to death because rain melted the roof away." I gently chuckled. "And things went on from there. We became friends. He taught me how to complete challenges. Something the protectors had developed to help us 'survive in the future.' And once we completed each challenge, we received a gold coin that had a word engraved. Everything was going great at that moment, until things started to go downhill. The challenges started getting harder and harder for us to complete , until we realized that they were putting our lives in danger."

"So we stopped for a moment. Jake had decided that it would be best if escaped the Island. Others have done it before us. If they were able to do so, we should be able to too. But there was a fact that kept st oping us. Someone had died from being here. And we became frightened. Frightened of what the world has become, frightened of the things that already haunted us. But we grew to love each other. And that was all that mattered at the moment. But what was the point... if we weren't able to stop them? What would be the point if we were stuck on an island, free from the world? Someone was on the Island. An intruder. He stole our food. He did terrible things to me, and that's when Jake snapped, and told me that we were going to leave very soon. Then came our last day. We spent it together," we exchanged glances. "It was love."

"But things were difficult. I knew that to do the right thing... I had to leave her behind, even if it meant breaking my promise. So I injected her with a strong vaccine that would drift her off into a long sleep and packed my bags. I really didn't know how I did it, it was much harder than I thought. It was hard because even though I didn't have to support her with food... I still had to get there. After several months... I finally made it to her house. Where I rung the doorbell, waiting for an answer. And once the door opened, the two people standing inside looked at me with shock and happiness. I left them without a word, and headed on to find my family, and bring back our freedom."

"But that wasn't something you could do in a matter of days. It was something that took time and patience. Something that meant... everything and anything. And I was ready to give up everything to bring her back into the world it used to be. But without knowing it I hurt her. I left so suddenly, without a sign. Without anything."

"When I woke up... I couldn't find him. He wasn't there. And my parents were acting strangely. I knew something was up. My parents were giving me permission to kill them They were bowing before me feet, asking for forgiveness. They paid the price just to find me. But even then... nothing was found. I felt guilty. I wanted to talk to them about it, but before I knew it... my mother was pushing me out the door, telling me to run before the men find me."

"So I did as I was told, and ran. That was the last I've ever seen my mother alive. She's been dead since, and I regret not being there and telling her 'I love you' before she left my life. I couldn't turn back. I had to keep running for her sake. She died protecting me."

"So I ran through a forest... far from my home. And that's where I met General."

"I knew her since she was a little girl. But she didn't remember me. She lost all of her memories of me when she was just a child. But I remembered her. I remember when I saw her standing there... defending a child who was being beaten for the fun of it. After a while I chased the man away and saved them. I sent my men out to deliver the children back to their parents. But one stayed. He told me he had no family because the men had killed his parents in front of his face. I felt bad for him... someone so young... someone that didn't deserve it, was an orphan. He was too much like me. And out of fear for him, I took him in and made him my successor. With that being said, I placed him on my horse and started to ride off. The boy protested and told me that we should take her along with us."

"And... I did. The poor girl was frightened. She saw her mother's bleeding corpse in front of her own eyes, I knew who she was. I knew what would happen to her if I left her here like that. We traveled... trying to find Jake. But we could only find clues of his existence. I wanted to ask her why she was so eager to find him. But then we discovered something that gave an even better explanation."

"I was carrying his child." I said with a straight face, and looked at Wendy, Peter and everyone else. They had tears streaming down their faces. I could tell they felt pity for me. But I won't except it. I'm stronger now.
