"And things became harder for us. We had to protect one more life. I had to change my plans. We need even more soldiers now."
"That's why we called this meeting. When lunch is over, we will be taking questions along with the plan."
We turned around, and started to head back, but there was a loud shriek. Then the sound of gunfire. Jake and I quickly turned around and looked at the crowd. One man, all the way in the back of the room had attempted to shoot me. The room was spinning but I had no sign of injury. I took a closer look at his face. "David?"
"Kai?" Jake glanced between the two of us, and then at me. "I didn't think you were alive." He said getting onto the stage. "I really missed you." He hugged me close. "Did you miss me too?"
I nodded as he stroked my hair. "Your going to stay by my side now, right?" he looked down at his hands. "I'm sorry pumpkin but I can't do that. The order forbids me to-"
"Hey, sorry to interrupt but, exactly who are you?" David sighed, "And who are you exactly?" He mocked.
"Hey Gray! Get over here!" A head popped out of the curtains. "Yeah?" His eyes widened when he saw who was calling him. "David, we thought you died. Where have you been all this time?" He said kneeling by the two of us.
"I've been taking orders. Look, there are a lot of things to explain, so it's best to get it all over with now before-"

Something had interrupted him. It was a child. There was a kid peeking out from behind the red curtains. "Dad...?" General smiled and looked at the small child. "No way. There's no way!" He looked at the father and son for a spare moment and then burst out laughing. "What's so funny?"
General looked at the laughing man and then at his son. "Dude, even though you guys might not see it, we totally can."
General glanced at Kai, willing to understand. After all, Kai had known the dummy since she was born. "You guys are totally alike!" He said pointing at the two boys. "How? I mean look at us." It only took a spare moment before Kai started laughing, and was able to comprehend the joke. David's arm snaked around Kai and held her to him as they laughed.
"Excuse me, but I think your a little too close to my fiancee! You just tried to shoot her, and failed yet you guys act as if nothing happened! You've got some balls to think you can just waltz up in here!"
Kai looked at Jake, and placed a hand over his. "I'm sorry Jake. I forgot that I haven't introduced you two. This is David, he is my brother."
Jake's eyes widened with shock. All this time he had thought of her as an only child. She had described her family life to him that way. She told him that she was an only child and that she didn't have any siblings. His head was hurting just thinking about the recent events. He tried his best to piece together the information the best he can but found himself lost in confusion.
"David was adopted because Kai's parents were told they could never have children. We grew up together. We didn't know Kai was going to come along until David was five and I was two. We were quite shocked. My sister herself was a bit annoyed. But that's what happened. When she was born we didn't quite know what to expect. I didn't really remember anything of her birth, I was so young I only remember David's face from the video. He was so shocked. It was actually quite funny. I remember watching it with his parents when I was older. Even though he was adopted, he still loved her since then. Then the ceremony came around. And she was given a name. They said she was the strong one. Then, his parents told him that he had to go because it was no longer safe for him. That he would be in danger and so she would be too. So they sent David to my household where he was still able to meet up with Kai and watch her grow up. My folks died years after that. I lost my mom and my dad. I knew because I could see their corpses. But I couldn't see David's or my sister's. So I thought they were dead."
Jake looked down at his hands when the subject suddenly turned into death. "So where have you been all along?"
David sighed. "I guess this was a subject we couldn't avoid. I was taken away. I was getting fruits from the trees and someone grabbed me. Before I knew it I was in Mr. Hope's office. He told me that he needed me and only trusted me to complete one job. The job seemed fine at first. Something anyone of any age could do. But then, he added 'Kill him while your at it.' I told him that I would never kill someone, that it was something I couldn't just do especially since I had a family back home and a good life. I told him that he should just let me go. So I got up from the chair and proceeded to leave. But then he said. 'I'll destroy everything and anything that mattered to you. I'll make it so you didn't exist. I'm quite familiar with your sister so I might as well start with her. She happens to be at home right now. Oh what the heck lets just-' And I almost killed the man myself. I wasn't aware of it. But I attacked him. And because of all of this, I became his private assassin."
"And that's totally why you should kill your sister. Right?" Jake mumbled. "It was an accident. Calm down."
Jake stood up. "Don't tell me to calm down you lunatic!" frustrated about the constant growling between the two, I interrupted. "So... then what?"
"He gave me a job yesterday. He said, 'Ugh, there are people trying to rebel against me. Kill them for me' He told me the specific address. So I showed up here. I took a shot at you and when I saw your face I felt so much guilt. I'm sorry I almost killed you." Kai gently smiled. "It's fine... you didn't know."
"Is there anything else you would like to tell us?" Jake said, a bit annoyed. "I don't find that quite respectable from someone like you." He growled.
"You impregnated my sister you pig!" David said throwing a punch at his gut. "You almost killed her!" Jake said punching back. David fell back on his butt while Jake stepped on him. "You little shit! You should die!" David pushed him back.
Kai sat there and watched the two. She pondered about the most appropriate response to the two of them, and thought of a plan that would stop them both without an accidental swing being targeted at her stomach. Then there was the sound of clicking. "I'll kill you bastard!" The gun was pointed at his head. "One finger and your dead!"
