Jake glanced up from the floor, and stood. "We're here..."

Soldiers got up, a huge crowd forming. "You were taught well. Once I give you the signal... WE FIGHT FOR WHAT IS OURS!"

"YES SIR!" The soldiers yelled back.

Jake was waiting for that moment... the moment where he could bash into Hope's head. You killed what I had left! He thought, gripping onto his gun. My daughter! She didn't live long enough! My wife had many years to live!

She was mine! He thought, jumping off the bus. He looked around. The rest of them came on time just as they planned. Eight men climbed off the bus, and looked Jake in the eye. It was pity. "I don't need your pity... we all lost something today! A good friend...hope... and some of us...family!"

"You've seen what they can do to the people we love! Fight for them!"

The soldiers on the buses cheered and the eight men smiled. They signaled their soldiers to come down, where they would start a long journey.

"Come on down guys!" Joseph yelled. "Come on down guys!" The soldiers happily jumped down the bus, and gathered around. He was about to turn around, when the she showed her face. The two of them had  gotten really close over the few days. "Hey..." he said smiling. "Hey."

He lent out his hand, and helped her get off the bus. "Thank you..." The soldiers buzzed around, teasing them. "General Gray... do you-"

He looked over at Jake, and froze. "I'm sorry, am I  interrupting something?" He shook his head. "Lieutenant... this is Luna."

"Nice to meet you..." Jake said, holding out his hand. "It's nice to meet you as well, Lieutenant..."

He smiled, then dismissed himself. As much as it hurt to pretend, he kept on going on. He knew that Kai wouldn't want to see him like this. It was best... to put a mask up.

The five of them walked in silence, not uttering another word. They had been traveling for what felt like months. Every now and then, Kai would become too weak to walk further, and Jack would carry her on his back, muttering in her ear that she'd make it. Times like that, Jack passed Lily to Madam. There were no arguments about it. They hadn't seen water or food for miles.

Kai stumbled across the dirt road. "Kai..." She gently smiled, and shook her head. "Don't worry... I'm fine." She said, falling down. He rushed to her side, and was about to pick her up, when he saw the tears in her eyes. "You aren't fine!"

"I'm fine..." She said, her voice trembling. She got up, hands and legs shaking. Jack gritted his teeth, and handed Lily to Madam. "Get on..."

She sadly got up, and wiped the tears away from her face. "You know you aren't fine..."

"Water!" Wendy said, pointing at a small lake. They ran over, and laid Kai against a tree. "Wait here... I'll get you water!" Jack ran over to the lake, and cried tears of happiness. "It's clear..." He cupped water in his hands.

"Here! It's good..." Kai gently smiled, and took a small sip. "You're right... do we have any containers...?"

Light gently shone through the curtains of Hope's room. Morning. He squinted his eyes, and slipped out of his bed sheets. "Sir... I have your morning tea, just as you wished." He gently smiled, and lifted the cup to his lips. "Would you like me to read the schedule for today?" He shook his head. "No thanks... There's only one thing scheduled for today."

"North 558... do you know what that is?" The maid looked down at her hands. "If I'm correct sir, you are scheduled for a meeting between you and Kai's father-in-law..." Hope smirked, and pulled the maid close. "You are my favorite girl... you know that, right?"

She gently smiled. "Yes sir..." Hope gently placed his head on top of hers and smiled. "I cannot wait five more months..."

She smiled... "Talking about the baby again...?" He nodded. "Of course... keep it a secret though... You know Juliet would be upset if she knew." The maid gently smiled, and kissed Hope's cheek. "Yes sir."

The two hugged in silence before she opened her mouth one more time."Sir... pardon me for speaking out of order but... Isn't this wrong...? Juliet is your fiancee... and I'm nothing more than a servant." Hope smiled. "Whether you're my servant or not is no one's concern. You're my special girl and that's all there is to it."

The girl sadly smiled. "Wouldn't it be nice to marry one day though...?" Hope shook his head. "No... I'm fine where we are now... now hurry... or else Juliet will wonder why I wasn't at breakfast."

She excused herself, and walked down the hallways in tears. He said they would never be a thing... he betrayed her! She was pregnant before Juliet was! It wasn't fair! She wiped away the tears, and walked into the kitchen.

The others looked worried. "Hey... I heard what's going on..." She collapsed in tears, in another's arms. "He promised me I'd be the only one!"

"You shouldn't have listened to him Sara... Hope never really means what he says."
