My hands shook in fear. Curiosity killed the cat. Am I stuck here? More importantly... I turned my head at a proper angle to see the bedroom door opening. "Phew. It's nice and warm, go ahead."

He saw the page in my hand, and gently smiled. "Horrible isn't it? We aren't the other ones... they've taken others too." I nodded. "I can't help but feel that we're being used as toys." He sat beside me. "And you do know what it means one participant died?" Placing my hands behind my head, I leaned against the armrest. "That it isn't safe here."

He nodded. "That's right." he walked into the kitchen, opening a cabinet, and grabbing a granola bar. He wavered it around, as he dug into the cabinet some more. "Want one?"

"No thanks." He continued to dig through the cabinet, finally pulling out a small box. He glanced at the calendar that hung on the fridge. "Tomorrow's hunting day." He pulled out small plastic bags. He took a bite out of his granola bar, chewing and swallowing it down. "What are we going to hunt?"

"Chicken and turkey. Surprisingly there was an old barn located on this Island before they bought it. They ended up releasing the animals, and just tearing apart their home."

I watched his tan fingers run across the counter, as he pretended playing the piano. "They have already bred, and have given birth. Their off-spring no longer needs their support, so we'll be taking the parents instead." His fingers paused. "It should be easier to hunt this year."

I got up, and saw his blue eyes staring at the plastic bags. "I'm going to take a bath."

I opened the master bedroom, and closed the door right behind me. My hand dug through the red bag, looking for pajamas, but instead I only pulled out undergarment. And I mean piles of undergarment. After that layer, there were sundresses, casual wear, accessories (in their own jewelry boxes), things I will never wear because I am living with Jake, and I don't want him to attack me. And finally, Pajamas. There were ten pairs, neatly folded next to another note.

We do not guarantee the outcome when living with a boy.

I sighed. Seriously? I grabbed my clothes, and locked myself in the bathroom. I neatly placed my pajamas on the small table, and then undressed myself. Walking towards the shower, I tossed my clothes in the hamper, and walked into the shower. I turned the faucet, cold water splashing on me. I shivered, and moved the handle so it could point the opposite direction.

I quickly took the shower, and jumped into the bath. The water hit my face, as I dove in. The lukewarm water swarmed around me, welcoming me into the bath. The outcome when living with a boy... It's not like Jake would attack me. Would he?

Then again... we sleep in the same bed. I groaned, and left my head to sink underwater. I fell to the bottom of the bath, laying out. I closed my eyes, and listened to the sound of the water. Distinctly, I heard a loud crash, and opened my eyes out of reflex, and before I knew it, my arm was being tugged towards the surface.

Hands wrapped me in a towel. "What were you thinking?!" his wet black hair flopped over his eyes. "What do you mean?!"

"You've been in there for hours. So I went to check on you." He said with a slight tone of anger.

"I was only lying at the bottom." I muttered. "Just what were you going to do if you needed to breathe!?"

"Swim towards the top!" My fist clenched. "Why should you care anyways!?"

"Because I care about you!!" He pulled me forward, into a hug. His wet hair fell against my neck. I could feel his breath on the back of my neck as he held me tight.

"I want to see you smile every day. I want to see you laughing. And I don't want anything, or anyone to change that!"
