"What do you mean there's another person here!?" I yelled.

Jake covered my mouth with his hand. "Shh." I sighed, and looked at his serious face when he said so. "It's no longer safe here, we have to leave." I opened my mouth to say something, but no words would come out. "I know I said that earlier. I thought that since the Protectors weren't putting us in harm's way that it would all be fine. But..."

My eyes got watery. Sure I missed home, but this was nothing compared to it. I loved this place. I loved the green trees, the  beautiful sand. The beautiful sky. Not to mention that if we left...

"Jake." I placed a hand on his arm. "I don't want to leave." His eyes widened. "But don't you miss home? Don't you miss your family?"

I was speechless, unable to speak. I didn't know what to tell him. It was either a 'yes' or 'no.' My mind went crazy trying to make my decision.

Jake still looked at me, noticing my worried face. "I love you."

"And I don't want to lose you. So, please. Understand." My eyes widened. His words echoed through my mind. Tell him. Tell him.

"Don't lie to me." I muttered under my breath. Jake frowned. "Why would I lie to you?"

I gritted my teeth. He placed a hand on my shoulder. "I would never lie to you."

I pushed his hand off, tears falling down my face. "leave me alone. Don't go after me." I muttered, and ran off. I could hear him call me. I could hear the sound of his yells, and the sound of animals watching me run off.

I ran towards the abandoned building that I used to live in. But I knew he would find me there. It was only then that I decided that if I was really going to leave, I might as well head to the beach.

I couldn't hear him around. Nothing but the sound of birds, and the sound of waves. As I approached the waves, I jumped in, and swam to the bottom.

It was silent. The birds stopped chirping. I felt something grip my neck. I struggled, trying to pry off the unknown object. It gripped tighter. But it's hold got tighter, and It grabbed onto my legs, and onto my arms. It went silent for a spare moment, nothing but the feel of hands grabbing me, taking me in. It gripped me tighter, and gripped tighter.

It was great Jake. It was great being with you. I thought as I looked at the waves go over me. I can't hold my breath for much longer...

Finally, I saw something gold in the corner of my eyes. I reached out to grab it. The hands stopped grabbing me, one by one. But it still strangled me. I could see all that Jake and I have done. All that we've talked about. All that we've worried about. They all came back to me.

I could still see his smiling face when he talked with me. His laughter. His blue eyes. I want it all back. I want to stay here with him. We could've spent more time together Jake.

I felt someone lift me up, holding me like a bride. I took a deep breath, looking up. "Welcome home."
