I could barely speak, and I looked up to see his angered face. "I don't want to see you upset. I don't want to see you crying anymore."

He wiped the tears away from my eyes, and looked at Cedric, who was gently tugging on his pants. "Yes Cedric?" He bent down, and let Cedric whisper something in his ear. He then held Cedric up, and he leaned over to me, placing a small kiss on my cheek. "It'll be alright Kai!" His arms wrapped around my neck, and hugged me. "It'll get better. I promise."

I hope it does Cedric.... I really hope it does.

"It may not seem fair, or maybe just one sided, but love is love, and one can never do something about that." Blood dripped down from his hand, and fell onto the concrete. "I wanted us to be a family." He muttered before heading out in the open. "General Gray, you needed me for the war. I would like to know whether or not I'll be staying with you."

Belle looked over at the small group and looked right at the General who was carrying his son in his arms. "I suppose we have to stay together since there wouldn't be any other form of communication unless we do so."

She didn't look as thrilled as she would have been if Jake and Kai weren't in the fight. Kai gently placed a hand on her stomach. "Where would we even be heading?" Kai said, looking over at the General. "Probably in an Inn."

They started to walk together in a clump towards the top of the hill.

Towards the city was a large staircase that led to the town. I started to head down, my heels clicking with each step. It was a long way down, we were way high up, and Cedric gulped nervously as he looked down. "Cedric are you okay?"

"Mmm... yeah." He said, walking down once again. "It looks fun..."

He said, clearly making it obvious that he was afraid of heights. I walked peacefully, not caring how high up we were. Suddenly out of the blue, my heel snapped as I took another step, and I lost my balance.

I closed my eyes, knowing that if I fell, I would lose the baby. General gripped my hand, causing me to not fall. He picked me up like a bride until we got to the next platform, and then took off my shoes, and picked me up in the form of a "piggy back ride"

"Are you okay?" he asked, waiting for a response. "Yeah... I just lost my balance. Plus it's kinda hard to see the steps when it's only lit with small lights on the sides."

He frowned, and walked down the stairs. "Your lucky I caught you. That would have been a long way down. And don't even get me started on how much danger the baby would be in."

        I frowned. "Yeah..."

Belle looked at Jake, and then spoke up. "Can we call each other by our names now?"

Kai nodded. "I'm Kai. This is Cedric, and this grumpy man is General Gray. And you?"

"I'm Wendy." Jake looked down at how far it would be down. He glanced at Cedric who looked like he was about to throw up. "Are you alright bud?" Cedric gulped again, and looked at Jake. "I'm... fine."
