General held out his hand. "We're going to have to leave. They already think your around." He muttered. I took his hand and got up from the floor. Cedric still held onto my hand, and followed us into the closet. He opened the door, and I gawked in amazement when I saw all of the clothes. "Where did we get all theses clothes from?"
The general picked up a hanger. "They know I have no clothes. They always put some in the closets for me."
He handed me a hanger. "Here. Go change." I nodded, and walked over to the bathroom to change. I locked the door behind me and looked at the dress. It was beautiful, and white. Crap... I can't get the zipper.
The General knocked on the door. "May I come in?" I nodded, and unlocked the door. Cedric peaked from behind the man, looking into the bathroom. "Wow Kai!" The General smiled. "It fits you." I nodded, The general smiled, and I pulled my hair to the front of my dress. He quickly zipped it up, looking into the mirror. The general was also wearing dress clothes.
He had his hair held in the ponytail, and a blue dress shirt. I looked over to see that Cedric was also dressed up. In fact, he has been wearing a dress shirt that was gray. "Look at me Kai!" I smiled, and bent down. "you look great Kai!" I brushed a piece of hair away from his face. "Thank you Cedric. You look like quite the gentlemen."
He smiled, and looked at the general who was brushing some hair out of his face. "Speaking of which...where are we going?" The general smiled. "We're going to the Richman family Ball."
Cedric slightly tilted his head. "Why? Do we have business with them?" The General shook his head. "I'm looking for someone important here. You know what he looks like...right Kai?"
"Who are we talking about!" Cedric yelled. "Looking for the other Strong One." I gently smiled and looked over at the younger child. His eyes widened.
If we were going to find Jake... we might as well show up to the ball everyone goes to. To the ball where each house is invited. Only the fortunate ones though. I know that if there was one way to get into that party without being suspicious...it was to show up with the General.
"They will recognize you." He said, holding out a pair of contacts. "Put them on, and we will do something about your hair."
I placed the contacts in, and glanced at the mirror. My eyes flickered a bright green. "There we go..." He then picked up a brush, and pulled my hair into a bun. "Daddy, how come you know how to put Kai's hair up?" He gently smiled as he placed the clip Jake gave me into my bun. "I used to do this all the time with a woman named Katherine."
"Kai, do you know who Katherine is?" I painfully smiled, and patted his head. "You'll know later."
The General looked at his watch and grabbed the gun resting on the night table, and headed for the door. "We have to get going. The ball starts at 5, but it takes three hours to get there."
I nodded, and we headed to check out. Once we opened the door of the hotel room, we got on the horse, and started out journey. "Cedric, hold on okay?" Cedric nodded, and did as he said.
There really was no choice. The horse sprinted down the path, wind hitting our faces. Cedric held onto his dad's cloak, hoping he wouldn't fall off. I did the same. But most of all, I made sure that Cedric wouldn't topple over, because that would be a horrible event.
The General grunted as he heard the loud noise of nearby soldiers. He gripped the reins, and make the horse run faster and faster. I looked to my sides, noticing the fast approaching men on their horses.
The hooves clashed against the dirt path, as they catch up. The General kept his horse running steady throughout the path.
But the path narrowed, and soon it was a dead end. The General could see that, and tried to slow his horse down, but I could tell he wasn't. Before he knew it, the horse lost control, and together we fell down the cliff.
