Recap: HG High: Chapter 27: What Glimmer Did
“After this, go pack your bags” Glimmer says.
“Why?” Clove asks.
“Well… I got us all tickets” she starts
“to Australia”

Chapter 1:
-Clove-
It’s been a day since Glimmer told us we’re going to Australia. Everyone seemed eager to go. Even Katniss was. From the corner of my eye, I could spot her and Peeta leaning on her car.
Their hands entwined. She was leaning on his shoulder, and Peeta’s other arm was around her.
Tomorrow, we leave for Australia and I just know. With us Victors there, there will be Trouble in Paradise.
-the next day-
I picked up my bags from the top of the stairs and headed downstairs.
“You set?” Jo asks.
I nod and load my bags in the van.
“How’ve you been?” Marvel says beside me.
“Hey Marv, I’ve been good. You just saw me yesterday” I say, raising an eyebrow. He turns red
“Yeah…” he trails off.
“That’s alright. You’re cute that way” I say resting my head on his shoulder.
We were still waiting for Annie and Finnick.
Glimmer was buzzing in excitement. Literally, she was jumpy. You could bounce a soccer ball on her head.
Katniss and Peeta were talking as well.
Johanna and Gale were having an argument over which desert was better, Ice cream or cake.
Cato was well… I didn’t know where he was.
“I’m here!” Finn yelled, rolling down his window. Annie hid her face in her hands. She was laughing so hard.
“Can we go now?” I yell to Glim.
She nods. “Okay! Everyone get in your vehicles” Glimmer says aloud.
“Uh…Glim? We’re all riding in yours” Katniss points out.
“Oh right” she says.
I chuckled before joining the others.
“I call shotgun!” Johanna says, running towards the van.
“Who’s driving?” Peeta says.
“I volunteer!” Gale says raising his hand.
Katniss playfully slapped his arm.
“Hey! That’s my line” she says jokingly.
We all laughed, getting in.
“Where’s the road to the airport?” Gale asks.
“Go on the freeway” Cato says, settling in beside Glimmer.
“We need music” Jo decides before turning on the radio.
“This one!” she says, leaning back, content with her choice.
We all began to sing along, quite terribly if I may add. Our voices blended together, producing a horrible sound. Still, we all kept singing. The song ended and we were all laughing hard.
“Let’s not do that again” Annie says, rubbing her ears.
“Agreed” Jo says, rolling her eyes.
“Okay, we’re on the freeway. Now what?” Gale asks.
“A left, about 3 kilo meters from here.” Marvel says, checking the GPS on his phone.
After a while, I fell asleep on Marvel’s shoulder. I was startled awake when the car started swerving.
“What’s happening?” Kat asks.
“Wait!” Gale says.
We pull to a stop and scurried out of the van.
“Okay. What happened now?” Glimmer asks.
Gale and Cato take a look at the engine.
“Not here” Cato says.
“Here!” Finn says, kneeling beside one of the tires.
“Flat tire” he says.
“Great” Johanna mutters sarcastically.
“I’ll call a car company” Marvel says and takes out his phone, pressing it to his ear.
“But we’re leaving in two hours!” Glimmer says worriedly.
“Calm down Glim. We’ll get our flight” Annie says, resting her hands on her shoulders.
“I’ll try” Glim says through gritted teeth after a few breaths.
“We need it now” Marvel says on the phone.
“Two hours?” he says.
“Isn’t there anything faster?” he asks.
After a while, he nods.
“I understand. Thanks” he ends the call.
The look in his eyes gave away the message.
I sigh and take a seat on the pavement.
“Isn’t there a gas station near this place?” Peeta asks.
“We’ve passed by it already” Finn says sadly.
“What do we do for two hours?” Gale asks.
“If it isn’t obvious, we wait” Finn says grimly.
