Chapter 25:
-Katniss-
I couldn’t believe it. A huge project on the first day of school. I was muttering curses as I walked to Gale’s house.
“Hello Katniss” Hazelle greets me.
“Hi Hazelle. May I get Prim now?” I ask.
“Sure. Do you want tea?” she asks.
“No. I have to be somewhere” I return her smile.
Prim came bounding down the stairs.
“Hey little duck” I greet her.
“Hey Katniss” she hugs me.
“Thank you Hazelle” I wave to her.
“Anytime dear”
We walked out of the house and I immediately told her to get in the car. “What for?” she asks.
“You’ll meet the victors” I grin.
Clove already took a ride with Glimmer so it’s only me and Prim. I sped to Area 1. I see their cars out front, meaning that I was the last to arrive. We walk hand in hand to Glimmer’s house. I rang the bell and Clove answers it.
“Hey kiddo” she greets Prim. Prim stuck out her tongue and we walk in.
“Who’s the little one?” Annie bounces to us.
“Annie, this is my little sister Prim” I say.
“Hey Prim. I’m Annie” Ann pulls her in a hug.
“Everyone this is Prim. Prim this is everyone” I say, too tired for introducing them.
“That one is Cato the crab” Finn points out Cato who was scowling at him. Cato approached Prim and shook her hand.
“And this unfortunately is Finnick the freak” Prim grins and we all erupt in laughter.
“I’m Glimmer, that’s Johanna” Jo waves from the couch.
“I’m Marvel, Glimmer’s brother. This is Peeta” Marvel introduces himself and Peeta.
“So you’re Peeta” Prim looks him up and down.
“Prim!” I say from the embarrassed.
“What?” she puts on a charming smile.
“Whatever. Are we going to practice or what?” I ask.
“Practice?” Prim asks.
“Yes. We have scripts for Drama” I say.
“Who’s first?” Clove asks, plopping down beside me. Prim was sat on the floor as Annie braided her hair.
“I’m not volunteering for this one” I say.
“Let’s vote” Glimmer decides after a moment of silence. “
You only vote once. All those in favour of Kat, Annie and Finn, raise your hands” My hand stayed down and only Peeta and Johanna raised theirs.
“Next me and Marv” No one raised their hands.
“Cato and Clove?” None again.
“Oh crap” Gale mutters.
“Johanna and Gale” Glimmer grins and the rest of us raise our hands.
“Jo and Gale it is!” Annie says.
“What’s their script?” Prim asks.
“Romeo and Juliet” Clove grins.
