"Excuse me? Did I hear it correctly?" pangungumpirma ko pa. Mas binilisan ko pa ang takbo ng aking sasakyan sakaling tama nga ang narinig kong nasa headquarter namin si Agent Medusa.
Agent Medusa is a prominent figure within the Mycroft Detective Coalition, yet she is more aptly characterized as a villain rather than an agent. Our shared trait of being two-faced is a point of contention among others. We both excel when wearing our masks, but our personalities clash like repelling poles, keeping us at a distance despite occasional reliance on each other.
"Yes, Agent Persephone. I informed her that you're coming here," tugon naman ni Agent Hypnos. Bakas sa tono nito ang kaba.
Mas binilisan ko pa lalo ang arangkada ng aking sasakyan. Kaaga-aga ay maraming kugtong na kaagad ang sumusubok ng aking pasensiya.
"Where is she?" muli kong tanong habang naniningkit ang mga mata.
She arrived unexpectedly, leading me to believe that she must have another pressing issue at hand. It is quite clear to me that she will seize the opportunity of my absence from the headquarters to acquire whatever she requires for her mission.
"She's at SKY-PL..."
"What the fuck?" asik ko na talaga habang umiinit ang ulo kay Medusa.
Kung nasa SKY-PL si Medusa ngayon ay isa lang ang ibig sabihin niyon. She's targeting one of the Helicopter Collections of MDC-Manila. And I'm not just talking about the MDC collection because I'm also using my own money for that.
And knowing Medusa, there's a 50-50 chance she'll return the helicopters she likes to me. No, scratch that. I'm certain she'll choose the most expensive one. That woman is one of the corrupt agents in our organization. Fortunately, she's skilled at her job and doesn't disappoint the MDC, so she's being favored by those higher up.
But not me. If I have to shoot her to stop her, I will.
"I'm at the headquarters parking lot. Any updates?"
"They're leaving..."
"Bitch!" I exclaimed in frustration and quickly descended, carrying my stun gun.
Agad na dumiretso ako ng SKY-PL at tsaka naman ang pag-angat ng helicopter sa himpapawid.
"Medusa!" sigaw ko at agad na itinutok ang aking baril sa kinaroroonan nito. Naramdaman ko pa ang hilo sa aking sistema. Walang alinlangang pinaputukan ko ang babaita at ganon ang ginawa nito sa akin. Mabuti na lang at mabilis ko naiwasan ang bala nito.
"Damn that witch!" tanging nasambit ko. Kung wala lang akong pres conference ngayon ay hahabulin ko talaga ang kugtong na iyon.
"Agent Persephone..."
"Shut up!" sigaw at pamumutol ko kay Nyx. Nagtama ang paningin namin ni Harmonia at napansin ko kaagad ang bandage nito sa braso dahilan para mas madagdagan ang init ng ulo ko.
