"Tell me, is that what makes you upset? That I'm living with Thiffany at the same house?" Tanong ulit ni Kaise ng makapasok kami sa sasakyan niya.
Tama nga si Heila! Wala na nga ang sasakyan ko no'ng nakalabas na kami. Sa munisipyo ko na yun makukuha. Hindi ko naman inisip na kay Kaise ang bagsak ko eh. Tangina naman.
"Hey." Napaigtad ako ng bigla nalang siyang magsalita. Hindi ko pala siya napansin.
"You're spacing out." Sabi pa nito.
"Oh. What did you say?" Tanong ko.
"Nagalit kaba ng malaman mong nakatira ako sa bahay kasama si Thiffany?" Hindi siguradong sabi nito.
"Hindi ah! Ba't naman ako magagalit diba? Hindi naman kita kaano ano eh. Buhay mo yan, kahit pa magkasama kayo sa isang kwarto... Anong pake ko do'n? We're just pretending, and I'm doing this to protect my organization. And also my friends." Pahayag ko. Tumango lang siya at pinaandar ang sasakyan.
Biglang tumahimik ang pagitan namin, at napalilibutan kami ng awkward atmosphere.
"Uhmm..." Pagbasag niya sa katahimikan.
"Yes?" Tanong ko.
"Can I ask?" Balik na tanong ni Kaise.
"You're already asking..."
He chuckled.
"Did you ever fell in love? Or did you have committed to someone?" Hindi sigurado niyang tanong.
Tumango ako. "Yeah. Firstly, my mother. And lastly my friends. They will always be the someone I would commit to." Sagot ko.
"How?" He asked.
"I don't know either it was just, I always think about their safety after me. I promise my self that I will always protect them no matter what. Even if it cost my life, I don't care. As long as I know that they're happy and safety, I wouldn't ask for more." I answered.
At may naalala na naman ako.
Ilang minuto yata kaming natahimik.
"Hey, you're spacing out,"
"A-Ay wala... May naalala lang," saad ko nalang.
"I'm a good listener." malamlam na saad niya. "I know what's on your mind now, spill it,"
I really hate drama but, it's not wrong to be vulnerable to someone... sometimes.
At medyo nakainom naman ako, hindi na siguro 'to masyadong nakakahiya.
At tuluyan na akong naiyak. "I-I failed to protect m-mom."
"Hmm?"
"I promise to mom, and tita that I'm going to protect them but, I didn't. I failed, I just cried that time and not able to move my body... Watching how my mom bid her goodbye to me, make my whole life shutter..."
He looked at me like he was convincing me to talk more. And I did.
"Luckily I have my friends with me, we have each other. Even though they've lost they're moms too, they never failed to help me. We lighten each other up and helped ourselves to wake up from our darkest nightmare... After a year, we take our parents inheritance for us.
