Earlier that day

Sally's P.O.V

Poor Lola. She was definitely feeling under the weather today. She didn't show up to the first class and at lunch she ate like a half potato. I really wish I could do something but I have to work today. Again. However, I'm not complaining, I love my job. Right! Speaking of jobs, Sally got the job at the pool or whatever it was. I'm so excited!

When I get to the book shop I open the door and make sure to get everyone to know that I'm here.

"Hellooo-ooo. Sally's here!" I yell/sing. John comes out to me.

"Hey Sally. Good mood as usual?" He says and gives me a hug.

"Oh yes of course." I smile and hang up my jacket and leave my bag. It's now 4.30 and before I start working I'm just gonna eat a snack. I have a banana in my bag, so I'll just have that.

"How busy has today been John?" I ask while getting out my banana.

"Uhm. It's been okay I guess. Lunch time was busiest as usual but now it's quite calm." He responds and begins to fiddle with some of the books that we just got in.

"By the way Sally! I have talked to Phil and I'm leaving early today. It's my sisters birthday so I'm visiting her." He says and looks concerned. "Are you gonna be okay on your own?" He asks. He's so nice.

"Of course you're visiting your sister! Don't worry about me, I'll be just fine! I've closed the store before, remember?" I tell him. He really is like a big brother.

"Yeah I know, but after you told me what happened last time I don't like the idea of leaving you alone." He says. I knew telling him would be a mistake.

"Oh stop it you! Just go to your sister and say hi from me!" He walks to the door and start collecting his belongings.

"Thank you Sal! I left a list on the counter with the things that has to get done." He says before he opens the door.

"No problem. I owe you one anyway for being gone so much before."

"Have fun!" He says and walks out the door. Okay, all alone. I actually enjoy being alone. Sometimes. I like it because I can think and breathe and relax, but I don't like it because sometimes I get bored and my weird sides take over. That's not pretty.

List, list, list, where are you? I walk over to the counter but see no list. I look at the floor under the counter. Yes, got it!

1. Unpack the new books and supplies (the boxes are in the staff room) 2. Clean up the shelfs 3. Organize the author's shelf (alphabetical order) 4. Write this weeks recommendations 5. Scan box nr. 5 6. Don't brake anything!

What? Me!? Brake anything!? I would never..... I haven't done that since last week. Okay, I'm gonna be productive! If I finish everything in one hour I can go home early. Working mode: ON!

I unpack all the new books and clean the shelfs really quickly and I'm impressed. That only took 30 minutes and now I'm tired. I think I deserve a short break to get some energy back. Nobody's here and we usually don't get any costumers after half past four so I'll just lay down on the floor for a bit. I know most girls would think it's disgusting to lay on a dirty floor, but I'm not really like other girls.
