Lola's P.O.V
We're finally home and I couldn't be happier. I'm so tired, I'm in physical pain and I'm kind of grumpy as well. The last Harry said to me was that I was a player and a hypocrite, when I was really talking to Sally and he's the only one I've kissed. As soon as my head is placed on the pillow I'm fast asleep with makeup and clothes still on.
I wake up rather late and regret not removing my make up the night before. I look like a messed up panda bear because the mascara and eyeliner is smudged all over my eyes. Luckily for me today is an in service day in school so I'm free. I get up and wash my face before I head to the kitchen, while in the kitchen I bump into my mother.
"Lola?! Why are you still home?" She asks nervously. She obviously don't know that there's no school for me today.
"Relax mom, there's no school today." I say and put my arm around her shoulders.
"Sweetie, you look a lot better today. How are you feeling?" She asks. I hadn't even though of that. I think I'm well, very well. Wow! I'm not sick anymore!
"I think I'm feeling good again. My head is fine. I'm not dizzy or nauseous." I smile to her. That just made the day a thousand times better. I make a smoothie and have some cereal and then head back to my room. The weather is lovely so I change into my running clothes and head out in the nature. I begin to run about 4 km and then I find a small forest that I decide to explore. It's crazily beautiful and with the music flowing through the headphones, I feel like I'm in a music video. After I've walked around in the forest for maybe 30 minutes I find the perfect place. It's just by a little river and I lay down among some flowers.
My phone buzzes and I get it from my pocket. It's a text.
Hey Lols! How R U 2day? If you're not feeling like crap, maybe we could meet up for lunch later. I have to tell you something important!!!!! Love, SALLY!
Lunch sounds nice. I wonder what's so important, I hope she didn't do anything stupid.
I'm actually feeling a lot better than yesterday. Lunch sounds great. Shall we meat up at 12.30 by the mall? C U, LOLA!
It's now 11.15, so I better find my way back home now so I have time to shower and change clothes.
I arrive at the mall just in time and by the restaurant section I spot a happy colorful thing with a big smile and long hair that is all over the place.
"Hey Sally!" I run up to her and hug her.
"Lola! I'm so glad you could come. I have something I have to tell you and I'm so happy." She shines out of happiness and I just want her to spill it. But before she does that we have to pick a place to eat.
"So, what do you feel like eating? Sally?" I ask, but I really already know the answer. She looks at me with eyes saying really?
"Do you really need to ask?" She says and I start laughing.
"No. Come on." We go to the sushi place and sit down in our favorite spot by the sofas. The great thing about it being Tuesday is that there are not many people here so we can chose among all the seats and we'll get the food quickly. The negative thing about it being Tuesday and in service day is that a lot of the ones that are here are from our school.
We sit down and make ourselfs comfortable and then I can't keep it in anymore.
"Okay Sally, I'm kind of dying here. What has happened that you have to tell me and why would I get mad about it?!" She has to start talking, like now.
"Okay. I'll start from the top. One or two weeks ago, just after David broke up with me I worked late. I worked till maybe nine or ten. When I was on my way home I accidentally bumped into a man and he was not happy about it. He started screaming at me and pushed me to the ground. I thought he would kick me when a guy stepped between us and told the man off and the man left. I thanked the guy and I got a good look at him, but I didn't get his name."
"Oh my god Sally, that's horrible." Why didn't she tell me earlier?
"Anyway. I sort of forgot about that after a while and I stopped wondering who that guy was, but yesterday I met him again. I was working and he came in. We talked for a while and his name is Niall. He was at first kind of rude, but when we had talked for a while he was really nice and kind of funny."
"Awe Sally, that's amazing." I smile at her.
"That's not all. Later that night when I was on my way home I once again accidentally bumped into someone on the street and when he turned around it was him again. I apologized and said we've got to stop meeting like this and then he said well you have to stop bump into people and then he said maybe we could meet up someday and I said yes I would love that and he then said I'm going out this saturday. We should meet up then and then I said cool and I got his number."
"And this involves me because.....?" I ask. I remember that she told me that what she tells me will either make me very happy or very upset.
"Well he said that he's going out with one of his friends which means that I can't come alone....." She looks at me like she's asking a question.
"What?! No, no, no Sally. I'm sorry but I'm not going clubbing with you and your crush. Sorry, but that's not happening." I say. I have a strickt no drinking or partying policy.
"Please Lola? Please, please, please? I really like him and I can't go with anyone else." She begs.
"Why can't you take one of the girls from your group? I bet they're up for some partying." I really want her to see this guy, but I have some bad experiences with drinking so I pass evey time alcohol is involved.
"I could take one of them, but they would probably just try to flirt with Niall. They have no respect for others and they would get crazily drunk and ruin the whole thing. I know that you would be perfect because you're responsible and smart and my best friend. Pleeeeeeaseeeee Lola?" She pouts and makes a puppy face. Damn it.
"Fine. I'll go with you. BUT if anyone tries to make me drink I'm leaving." She throws herself onto me.
"Oh my god. Thank you, thank you thank you!!! You're the bestest friend ever!!!"
"Yeah sure... when is this happening?" I aks. I've started regretting this already and the night hasn't even begun.
"This saturday. If you have other plans, cancel them!" She sounds stressed. I really don't like thi idea, but I'm doing this for her.
"Chill Sally. I' not going to cancel on you, but you know what I think about all this. Why don't you guys go on a real date, huh? Like going to the movies or having dinner? A bar does not sound too romantic..." I smile at her. I really shouldn't give her love advice, since the last person I liked now hates me and I kind of hate him. Well well. I'm gonna try to make the best out of this situation. Sally said that this Niall guy would bring a friend. Maybe he's nice. Maybe I could try to step out of my comfort zone and flirt a little with him. I'm usually rather shy around guys, but I will probably never see that guy again.
