The entirety of Hogwarts was confused, Professors included, by the sudden change in the dynamic between Reyna and George. Whilst they would bicker, it was never a heated exchange of words as it had been only a few days prior to the Black Lake incident. Many assumed a near-death experience bought them together but the people that knew them had their suspicions that something more was going on.

According to the rumours that were circulating around Hogwarts, it was said that George had been in a hurry to take Reyna to the Hospital Wing when an intense storm struck, causing them to fall from George's broom into the murky waters of the Black Lake. Unfortunately, their misfortune didn't end there as Reyna was then attacked by a vicious Grindylow, making their already dire situation even more perilous.

The strange duo in question were receiving bewildered looks for two reasons; one: they were together and not arguing and two: George Weasley was in the library.

The table was strewn with a multitude of books, their spines jutting out in every direction. Reyna and George sat huddled over their respective tomes, eyes darting back and forth across the pages as they read. Reyna had a sheet of parchment beside her, and with practised ease, she jotted down translations of the foreign text. The library was relatively quiet save for the occasional rustling of pages and the sound of pen scratching against parchment.

"How do you know Latin?"

"My dad taught me," Rena shrugs as she continues scribbling away at the parchment.

To be destined as one is a bond formed by a power beyond our understanding. The cases are very rare even in the Wizarding world due to the dwindling population of elementals and not all have a destiny such as this one. When the two individuals find out the truth, their skin will become marked with the runes of old that enhance their abilities, magic and physical. The runes can only be activated by the bearer when they will it so.

Reyna deftly flips the aged piece of parchment over, revealing the intricate lines of text that she had painstakingly translated. George's brow furrows as he reads the message, his mind racing to decipher the hidden meaning. With a deep sigh, the wizard places the parchment down on the table before rubbing his temples in frustration.

"So we're super-wizards?" George asks.

"There's only one way to find out," Reyna replies.

"The Forbidden Forest gives me the creeps," George shudders as they navigate their way through the dark woods.

"Stop whining," Reyna rolls her eyes.

As they reach a small clearing where the sun shines directly, Reyna throws a punch at George who instinctively dodges it. The wizard is taken aback by her sudden action and looks towards the witch in surprise.

"What the hell are you doing?"

Reyna remains silent, her clenched fist launching towards George once more. The wizard, agile and quick, evades the blow yet again. However, his relief is short-lived as Reyna's next move catches him off-guard. In a swift motion, she lowers herself and sweeps her leg against George's feet, sending him tumbling to the ground.

"Too slow," Reyna taunts.

As Reyna stretches her arm forward, the blade that materialized during her limbo experience manifests in her grasp, causing the witch to emit a perplexed chuckle. Following suit, George performs the same motion and obtains an identical outcome.

"Maybe not," Reyna shakes her head, dropping the sword which just vanishes. "Now that is cool"

"And convenient,"

As the witch reaches for a branch, it suddenly transforms into a sturdy wooden pole. George follows suit, brandishing his own weapon as they both turn to face each other. George lunges forward, but Reyna expertly blocks his attack and counters with a swift strike of her own. George is mesmerized as Reyna rolls, causing the rune on her neck to shimmer with a radiant golden glow. In the blink of an eye, she charges forward with the speed of a vampire, tackling George to the ground with ease.

The witch points the end of her pole at his neck with a smirk on her face which is quickly wiped away when George's eyes glow golden and he flips them over, his forearm pressed against her throat.

"Impressive," Reyna grins. "And kinky"

George's ears tinge red as he climbs off of Reyna who laughs.

"We're destined to be one Weasley," Reyna reminds the wizard. "Can't handle a little flirting?"

"Don't start a game you won't win Lupin,"

"I don't start games, I finish them,"

As George takes a step forward, he moves slowly and deliberately, gradually cornering Reyna against a nearby tree. The witch looks up at him with wide, doe-like eyes, but there's a sharp glint in them that betrays her true nature. Her expression reveals her as the cunning and dangerous being that she truly is.

A vixen.
