Winter rolled around quickly which meant Reyna spent nearly every waking minute inside the castle walls and any time she decided to leave she made sure not an inch of skin was uncovered. The witch had her blue scarf pulled up over her face and her cream beanie pulled low so only her eyes were visible.
"When's the heist?" George asks the witch.
"The snow burns my skin," Reyna replies. "Twisted irony"
"How can snow burn your skin?"
Reyna gently moves her glove so a small patch of her wrist was uncovered, exposed to the biting cold. The witch crouches down and picks up a small handful of snow. Reyna takes in a deep breath before pressing the snow to her wrist. A pained groan slips from her mouth as she dusts the snow off, revealing a burn mark on her wrist.
"That is some twisted irony," George echoes Reyna's earlier words, inspecting the burn.
Reyna's rune on the left side of her neck glows golden and they watch as the redness fades and the skin mends itself before their eyes. George gently moves Reyna's glove back into place before he pulls his hands away.

Reyna was sitting in the abandoned classroom, staring at the snow-covered landscape in front of her. The witch had an umbrella floating over her, protecting her from the snow as she watches the white flakes drift to the floor.
"Reyna,"
The witch turns at the sound of Harry's voice. It was wavering as if the boy was about to cry which was supported by the sheen glossing his eyes.
"Harry, what's going on?"
"Sirius Black is the reason my parents are dead,"
Reyna pauses at the boy's words, her heart aching as she knows she cannot tell him the truth until she and Sirius managed to catch Pettigrew. So the witch opts not to say a word as she holds the younger wizard close to her, muttering words of comfort as he sniffles.

The red fox walks across the grounds of Hogwarts, intent on heading towards the Whomping Willow which had the tunnel leading to the Shrieking Shack. Footsteps behind her cause the fox to turn, facing George who had a glowing rune on his forearm.
"Why do you sneak out of the castle all the time?"
The fox turns away from the wizard who sighs and begins to follow. Reyna morphs back into a human before giving George a harsh glare.
"Why are you following me?"
"Well someone is sending Burned Ones after you, so I thought you may need some form of-"
"You want to be my bodyguard?" Reyna snorts. "I can handle myself, George"
"So where are you going?"
"None of your business,"
A bark causes the two of them to turn and Reyna stares at the dog, fury on her face which has the dog cowering back from her.
"Do you know that dog?"
"He's a stray," Reyna sighs. "His owners thought the fleas and the smell were too much for them to deal with so they kicked him out"
The dog glares at Reyna, letting out a huff and George looks at the animal curiously. He could have sworn that the dog rolled its eyes at the witch.
"Reyna, who is that?"
"I told you, it's a stray,"
"Reyna, who is it?"
"I can't tell you," Reyna takes a step back from the wizard. "If I could, I would"
"That's how-" George's brain was whirring at one hundred miles an hour. "He- That's-"
Reyna looks at the dog who nods and they both tackle the wizard, sending them rolling towards the Whomping Willow. The dog leaps off George as Reyna keeps him pinned to the ground, a hand pressed to his mouth as Sirius presses his paw against the knot on the tree.
Reyna uses her body to spin them around so they're lying on their sides, facing one another. The witch is quick to then shove George into the tunnel beneath the tree. As she heads towards the entrance, the witch presses the knot which causes the tree to start thrashing again.

Reyna stares at George who was pacing back and forth on the worn floors. He kept mumbling to himself, occasionally glancing at the dog that was sitting at Reyna's feet.
"George, stop pacing,"
"I'm sorry," George snaps. "You helping the most wanted criminal is something I need to process. You should at least show your face"
The dog looks up to Reyna who nods and the dog takes a few steps forward before morphing into its human form, confirming George's suspicions.
"Reyna, why?"
"He's innocent," Reyna states. "He was framed by Peter Pettigrew"
"Pettigrew is dead," George waves his hands around. "He bloody killed him"
"I wish I did," Sirius mutters. "That is a murder I'd gladly go to Azkaban for"
"Stop talking," Reyna then turns to George. "We know where Pettigrew is but we can't get to him without arousing suspicions"
"Where is he?"
"Well, he's been living in your house for twelve years," Sirius blurts and Reyna slaps him upside the head.
"I beg your pardon?"
"Scabbers," Reyna explains. "Ron's rat? The standard garden rat that has an unusually long life span"
"I need to sit down,"
"Is he always this dramatic?"
"Yep,"
