The empty classroom was silent besides the sound of the pacing footsteps of Reyna Lupin. The witch was in a state of panic and her attempts to calm down were proving fruitless. In the corner of the room, the fireplace roars to life and the flames whip back and forth aggressively causing the witch to flinch.

"Reyna!"

The witch's head snaps up at the sound of her name coming from her father. Remus was standing in the doorway of the classroom, watching his daughter with saddened eyes. Remus takes a step forward causing his daughter to take two steps back.

"Stop," Reyna shakes her head. "I don't want to hurt you"

"Reyna-"

Remus' words are interrupted by a fiery blaze tearing itself from his daughter's body as she cries out, her back arching almost unnaturally. The older wizard is quick to react, swiftly waving his wand which causes water to douse the classroom, himself and Reyna. The young witch stands in the centre of the room, trembling as she stares at the scorch marks on the walls and floor.

With a quick flick of his wand, the scorch marks on the wall are gone; it was as if they were never there. Reyna feels a breeze wrap itself around her and the water evaporates from her clothes and hair.

"Rey-"

The witch slips past her father and hurries away down the corridor, scurrying around the corner and by the time Remus caught up, Reyna was gone.

Tranquillity is what fills Reyna's veins as she walks along the Black Lake, climbing the small hill to the small rocky edge that was her sanctuary and hers alone. The witch shrugs off her robes and her jumper, leaving them in a heaped pile on the floor before she throws her shoes next to the pile. Reyna stares at the water below her, allowing a smile to grace her face before the witch leaps from the edge.

The water engulfs her in its cooling embrace before Reyna's head breaks the surface. The witch takes a deep breath before sinking below the surface once again. The witch allows herself to remain below the surface as if hoping the water could permanently extinguish the fire that roared through her veins.

Merfolk swish by Reyna, offering her nods and waves. It had taken time to build that kind of peaceful, almost friendly, relationship with the sea-dwelling creatures as they were quite territorial but they had quickly come to realise that Reyna meant them, nor any of the other creatures of the lake, no harm.

Reyna's tranquillity is disturbed when a hand wraps itself around her upper left arm, yanking her harshly from the peaceful waters. Her eyes move to discover who owned the hand and her face turns to one of anger.

"Weasley," Reyna snarls, swishing her arms to keep herself afloat. "What the fuck are you doing?"

"Me?!" George splutters angrily. "I'm not the one leaping into the Black Lake and deciding not to resurface!"

"I am more than capable of looking after myself," Reyna snaps. "I certainly don't need help from the likes of you"

"This is a funny way of saying thank you,"

Reyna swipes her hand against the water angrily, sending a spray of water at the wizard who was next to her. She huffs before beginning to swim back towards the shore, leaving George behind.

"Lupin!"

Reyna pulls herself up onto the small shore bank before she begins to walk towards the small ledge where the rest of her uniform resided.

"Lupin!"

"Go away Weasley," Reyna snarls.

"I saved you!"

"I was perfectly content before you showed up!" Reyna snaps. "I'm not a damsel in distress"

"YOU LEAPT OFF A CLIFF!"

"Weasley, go away,"

George persists in his speech, his words forming into a speech almost reminiscent of a lecture. Reyna could feel the rage practically boiling her blood as her heartbeat thrums in her ears, the thumping getting more rapid as her temper grows shorter and shorter with the pestering wizard.

In a fit of rage, the witch turns to face the wizard before firmly shoving her hands into his chest. Shock crosses George's face as he stumbles backwards and off of the small ledge. A loud splash fills Reyna's ears and the witch stares over the edge, not a trace of remorse on her face at the sight of George Weasley splashing in the water below.
