Reyna's gaze intently scans the written words on each page of the book she holds in her hands. Beside her, George lies sound asleep with Scout, their loyal furry companion, snuggled up on his chest. She eagerly absorbs the wealth of knowledge and insights that the book offers, losing herself in its pages.

The term "Horcrux" refers to an object that has been imbued with a portion of an individual's soul, which has been intentionally divided. The chosen object, which is external to the individual's body, serves as a repository for a portion of their soul. In the event that one's physical body is attacked or destroyed, the individual cannot die, as a portion of their soul remains intact and bound to the earthly realm.

In the realm of wizardry, individuals who desire to create a Horcrux would seek to leverage any damage that had befallen their soul to their advantage. This is achieved by way of a spell that will sever the damaged portion of the soul and encapsulate it within a designated object. While it is possible to use a living being or creature as the vessel for the soul fragment, it is generally preferred to select an inanimate object as it minimizes the risk of destruction.

"Why are you reading my mother's books?"

As Sirius spoke, Reyna lifts her head from the book she was perusing - 'Horcruxes and other soul magic'. His words caught her off guard, and a wave of guilt washes over her. She fidgets uncomfortably under Sirius' gaze, her hand absentmindedly reaching up to rub at the back of her neck.

"Is this to do with Caleb?" Sirius asks gently.

"Someone's using him, Sirius," Reyna sighs, rubbing her temples. "He has a second chance at life and he's being used as a puppet. I can't sit by and let them use him for their game"

"Biscuit, sometimes you have to accept that you can't save them all," Sirius shakes his head.

"Don't sit there and try to pretend that if this was James, you wouldn't do the same," Reyna snaps.

"That's different-"

"How? How is it different?"

"James has a son, Caleb-"

"Had a life, had people he loved," Reyna retorts. "He always dreamed of having kids but because he didn't his life is worth less? What about Regulus, hm? You wouldn't try and save him if you had the chance?"

"I would," Sirius sighs. "I shouldn't have said that it wasn't fair"

"He's alive," Reyna murmurs. "Which means I have a chance to save him, let him have a life again. I owe him that much. These books are the key, I just have to figure out how"

"Don't carry this burden all on your own," Sirius sits on the edge of the bed. "You have a boy on your side that would give you the world or burn it down for you. You need that, Biscuit, embrace it. You have to love or else there's no point"

"My mother goes for people I love," Reyna shakes her head. "I can't"

"If he cared about that, he wouldn't be helping you with all of this," Sirius smiles at her. "He wouldn't have dived into the Black Lake with you, he wouldn't still be here. He knows the risks and is more than willing to take them"

"But what if I don't want him to take those risks?"

"That's not your choice biscuit," Sirius shrugs. "It's up to him and I think he's made his choice pretty clear"

The atmosphere at the Order's meeting that evening was fraught with tension. Reyna, Sirius, and the twins were staunchly advocating for Caleb to be made a top priority mission for the Order, but they were encountering significant resistance from the rest of the members.

"We can't risk it," Moody shakes his head. "How are we certain that you could even save him Lupin?"

"Nothing is a certainty, you know this Mad-Eye," Reyna retorts. "Or do you not remember being locked in a trunk for nearly a year?"

"Watch your step," Moody snarls. "Dumbledore has not made it a priority and that means it isn't one"

"Dumbledore's word isn't law!" Reyna snaps. "We're the ones who have to go on the missions, putting our lives on the line whilst he sits on his cushy throne in the school!"

"If you don't think you're up to it-"

"I am more than capable," Reyna sneers at the Auror. "It was me who nearly killed Barty Crouch Junior whilst you were sat in the bottom of a trunk. The almighty auror reduced to luggage-"

"Maybe we should take a break," Bill suggests.

"No," Reyna shakes her head. "If this was Fred or George, would you want them to stop searching?"

"No-"

"Then now you understand me and Caleb, we would die for each other- He died protecting me and Harry," Reyna shakes her head. "I can't leave him to be my mother's puppet"

"You're too emotionally involved to make rational decisions," Moody shakes his head.

"Alastor that's enough," Sirius shakes his head.

"No," Moody snarls. "She's too emotional"

"Maybe being emotional is what's needed," Bill interjects. "It means she cares, her passion is what drives her"

"Not all of us can be Dumbledore's lapdog," Reyna jibes, her tone laced with venom as she stares at Moody. "I'm going to help Caleb with or without your help, me asking was just a formality"

"You'll get yourself killed,"

"At least I die trying for something besides Dumbledore's own selfish agenda,"
