The library was engulfed in a profound stillness, where the only audible sound was the soft rustling of pages being turned. Reyna's eyes continuously scanned through the pages of the book, searching for transformation spells that could be learned quickly, but her efforts were proving futile. Meanwhile, Hermione repeatedly paced back and forth, causing Reyna to feel dizzy as she observed her movements.
"Tell me again," Hermione's order was directed at Harry who had his head resting on the desk.
"Come seek us where our voices sound," Harry says.
"The black lake, that's obvious," Hermione says.
"An hour-long you'll have to look"
"Again obvious, though I must admit potentially problematic," Hermione says.
"Potentially problematic? When was the last time you held your breath under the water for an hour Hermione?" Harry asks.
"Hey," Reyna hits Harry with the book. "That wasn't necessary, it's not Hermione's fault you've left this to the last minute"
All of the teenagers pick up books, continuing to read the books they had picked. Occasionally one of them would suggest an idea but logic shot down each and every idea. The group is distracted from their books by loud footsteps before Professor Moody's growling voice disrupts their concentration.
"Hate to break up this scholar session but Professor McGonagall would like to see you in her office. Not you Potter or Weasley, just Granger and Lupin,"
"But sir, the second task is only hours away and-" Hermione says.
"Exactly. Presumably, Potter is well prepared by now and could do with a good night's sleep. Go. Now!"

"No," Reyna shakes her head. "Absolutely not"
"This is insane," Hermione sides with Reyna. "So if they don't get to us, we're left in the lake?"
"Of course not," McGonagall shakes her head.
"If you're not successfully retrieved by the champion, you will be trapped in the lake until the end of the tournament," Barty Crouch informs the students.
"Are you bloody joking?" Ron asks.
"You can't do this," Reyna argues before pointing at Gabrielle. "She's ten years old, you want to leave her trapped underwater if Fleur doesn't manage to reach her? No"
Reyna noticed the palpable fear in the young blonde's expression and instinctively drew her close, wrapping a comforting arm around her shoulders. Gabrielle, her petite frame shuddering with trepidation, reciprocated the embrace by enveloping Reyna's waist in a bid to seek some form of comfort.
"She is terrified," Reyna hisses. "You can't do this to her. You can't do this to any of us! You couldn't take inanimate objects like a broomstick or a family heirloom?"
"That's not enough motivation I'm afraid,"
"So we're pawns to motivate other students to risk their lives to save us?" Reyna's voice was filled with bewilderment.
As Barty Crouch confidently lifts his wand, Gabrielle's arms wrap around Reyna's waist tighter. The elder witch gently caresses the younger girl's hair, trying to calm her nerves. The sound of Gabrielle's quiet prayers fills the air as she whimpers in terror, and suddenly, everything fades to black for Reyna.

With a sudden intake of breath, Reyna emerges from the depths, her robes clinging to her body with the weight of the water. As her mind catches up with the present moment, she realizes that she had been underwater despite her vehement protests. The witch peels her robes off before taking off her jumper, leaving the clothing to float in the water.
"GABRIELLE!"
Reyna's attention was drawn to the docks as Fleur's anguished cries echoed through the air. However, the young blonde was nowhere to be seen. Despite the stinging sensation in her eyes, the witch took a deep breath and submerged herself once more.
Her gaze fixated on the small, motionless form of Gabrielle, who was drifting in the water. Reyna's eyes move to the Grindylows that were approaching the unconscious girl and her face hardens.
After a quick search, the witch realized that her wand was nowhere to be found on her body. She then extended her arm and firmly grasped Gabrielle, as her eyes started to emit an intense orange glow.
Suddenly, a fierce inferno erupted from Reyna's being, fiercely battling against the surrounding water as it made its way towards the Grindylows.
George's eyes scan the water surface for any sign of Reyna who had just dropped back below the surface. Gasps sound from the crowd when orange flames appear under the water before tearing through the surface in a large ring.
Through the flickering flames, George spots Reyna's head break through the surface, holding a small blonde figure close to her body.
"HELP THEM!" Harry shouts.
The young wizard moves forward, clearly intent on reentering the water to help the two witches who remained protected by the flames surrounding them.
Seamus, Dean and Ron intercept Harry, holding him back as the Professors begin to hurry towards the enchanted boats, intent on rescuing the witches.
George shakes his head before sharing a look with Fred who nods at him. The twins are quick to shed their coats, Seamus and Dean following suit as Ron keeps Harry back. The four boys dive into the water, swimming towards the two witches.
Reyna's eyes lock onto them and the flames flicker and die as she starts swimming towards them. But she was struggling, Gabrielle clearly couldn't swim so she had become a dead weight that Reyna had to try and keep above the surface.
"Pass her to us!" Seamus calls.
Reyna passes the small blonde to the two boys who begin to swim towards the docks, the girl had an arm draped over each of their shoulders.
Fred and George duck down slightly ducking under the water as they position Reyna's arms so they were wrapped around their shoulders.
"I hate this fucking tournament,"
