Reyna knocks on her father's office door and he stares at the scar on his daughter's forehead, slicing through her eyebrow. The man slumps into his chair as his trembling hand comes up to cover his face.
"Dad, I'm okay," Reyna's voice is soft.
"Reyna, I hurt you, my own child,"
"That wasn't you," Reyna shakes her head. "You didn't take your-"
"I SHOULD HAVE!" Remus shouts.
Reyna couldn't help but flinch at the sheer intensity of her father's shout. The force behind it was enough to make her heart race and her body tense up. Remus, who detected the small movement, looked as though he had just seen a ghost. His face had gone completely white and he seemed to be struggling to speak. The man looked visibly shaken and placed a trembling hand over his mouth as if trying to hold back the bile rising in his throat.
"Reyna I nearly killed you last night!"
"It wasn't you!" Reyna exclaims. "So you forgot to take your potion, so what? No one died Dad!"
"But they could have,"
"But they didn't," Reyna counters. "I'm right here dad, I'm alive. I'm breathing, I'm healthy"
"I nearly took all of that from you,"
"But you didn't," Reyn sighs as tears well in her eyes.
"I spoke to Professor Dumbledore," Her father murmurs. "A Fidelius charm has been placed on Sirius' family home and you will be staying with him over the summer"
"You're kicking me out of the house?" Reyna asks. "Because something that wasn't in your control happened?"
"It's for your own safety,"
"I am safe with you!"
"Last night proved otherwise,"
"If you do this, you're a coward. Like my mother, like Pettigrew. Choosing to hide away from a fight rather than accept the love people are willing to give you"

As the door of her father's office slams shut, the sound reverberates throughout the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. Reyna begins to walk away from her father's office, with each step she takes she becomes increasingly aware of the sickening feeling that is growing within her. Guilt overwhelms her as the cruelty of her words becomes more clear to her. The witch had deliberately chosen to compare her father to two individuals who had betrayed him and caused him immense pain, fully aware of the hurt that it would cause him.
Reyna gets to the abandoned classroom and the sobs tear themselves from her chest. One hand comes to her face as the other presses itself against her stomach as she allows the gut-wrenching sobs to escape her.
"Reyna?"
As Caleb called out to her, Reyna turned around and locked eyes with her best friend. The wizard was taken aback by the sight of her tears, as he had never seen Reyna cry in the five years that they had been friends. Without hesitation, Caleb rushed over to her and embraced her, gently guiding them both to the floor. Reyna continued to cry, her red eyes overflowing with tears, as Caleb held her tightly in his arms.

As the Hogwarts Express chugged along, the witch couldn't bring herself to glance at her father on the Hogsmeade Platform, where Hagrid stood by his side. A gnawing sense of guilt ate away at her, stemming from the harsh words she had spoken in his office. But at the same time, she couldn't help but harbour some resentment toward him for his refusal to work things out, opting instead to send her to live with Sirius.
"Hey,"
Reyna turns at George's voice and the wizard gestures to the empty compartment. Reyna slides open the door before entering with George in tow. The witch makes herself comfortable on the seat as George places himself opposite her.
"My dad has got tickets to the Quidditch World Cup and there's one spare," George informs the witch. "Would you want to come with us?"
"Who am I to turn down such an event?" Reyna asks. "Besides, my entire summer is going to be spent inside"
"I thought you lived in the country?"
"Not any more," Reyna kisses her teeth, slumping back in her seat. "Dad's sending me to live with Sirius"
"What happened?"
"I think he's struggling with the scar," Reyna points at the scar that cut through her eyebrow. "We had a fight and I said something that I don't think I could ever apologise enough for"
Reyna nervously gnaws at the skin of her thumb as the overwhelming guilt builds up again. The words she spat at her father that day were ringing through her ears on a vicious loop. Her conscious and subconscious were punishing her for the cruel words.
"What did you say?" George asks. "I promise I won't judge, some things said in hurt and anger you don't mean"
"I said that because he was sending me away rather than working through it that he was a coward just like Pettigrew and my mother,"
George whistles lowly as Reyna resumes biting at her thumb. It was a habit she could never break from a young age, a way of relieving any strong, negative emotion she felt. A metallic taste fills her mouth and she looks down at her thumb, seeing the small droplets of blood dripping down the extremity.
"Hey," George reaches over, pulling Reyna's hand away from her mouth before examining the damage. "Gonna have to chop it, you've chewed to the bone"
"Oh dear," Reyna sighs dramatically. "Whatever will I do?"
"I think I'm smart enough to fix it,"
"Goodness me if you were a healer I'd let nature take the wheel,"
"Ouch Lupin,"
