8 🍃 ~Nothing is Written in Stone~ 🍃

My eyes gently opened, irritated by the sunlight streaming through my window. I stretched my rested body after a night of sleep and glanced at the clock on my table.
   Since there were still several minutes left before meeting Harper in the lab and starting my tasks for the day, I decided to take my time and have a shower, get dressed, and prepare for the new day ahead.

   As I left my room, I headed towards the place where Spider and I usually had breakfast together.
   However, upon arriving, the absence of his presence was unsettling. We usually shared this moment of the day together.

   The unease grew even stronger as I finished my meal without seeing him appear.
   My mind wandered between two possibilities: perhaps Spider was still sleeping in his room, or on the other hand, he had left early today to meet maybe with Kiri or Lo'ak.

   To dispel my doubts, I went to his chamber after finishing my breakfast. I knocked on his door. But with no response, I called out his name aloud.
   With no response once again, I concluded that he had left in the morning.

   After my fruitless attempt to speak with Spider, I decided that I would look for him in the afternoon, once I had finished my tasks in the laboratory.

   Once I met Harper, she clarified my uncertainty, confirming that indeed Spider had left early to meet with Kiri today. It seemed they wanted to witness the Iknimaya that would take place on this day.
   I then recalled that it was true that Kiri was particularly interested in obtaining her Ikran soon. And she was learning as much as she could about it. So, it was logical to think that she and Spider wanted to be spectators to learn from the participants who would attempt to bond with their Ikran today.

   After a few hours, I finally finished organizing most of the documents regarding the known clans in Pandora, especially the Tayrangi Clan, also known as the Ikran People of the Eastern Sea. They are one of the clans that reside along the eastern coastline and are renowned for their expertise in riding their Ikran.
   Due to the rocky coastlines in these seas having extremely scarce vegetation and no room for the growth of massive trees like here in the forest, the Tayrangi Clan utilizes wicker huts for their dwellings. Their Ikran nest on the rugged rocky shores.
   The Tayrangi Clan is known for their deep connection with their Ikran, but unlike other clans, they have a more practical approach to these majestic creatures. The Tayrangi are famous for being the finest aerial hunters. They use the Ikran to fish for marine creatures in Pandora's ocean, diving and swimming with their Ikran to catch their prey, and then flying back.
   They possess a profound knowledge of the air and the sea, including migratory and marine feeding patterns. They are excellent aerial riders and superior swimmers who utilize their skills to herd and capture the marine creatures that form the basis of their diet.

   Currently, Ikeyni is the Olo'eykte of the clan. Most of the gathered information about this clan is thanks to Neytiri and Jake, who, along with other members of the Omaticaya Clan, sought support from Ikeyni and her people during the War against the humans. This allowed us humans to learn much more about this clan.

   The history of the Tayrangi fascinated me immensely and I found the brave Ikeyni to be inspiring as well. Next time, I will definitely seek more information about her. But for now, I had completed my schedule and I was very hungry.
