Alongside Neteyam, I found myself in the "avatar house," the Marui that housed the avatar bodies, providing hammocks and medical assistance. While some colleagues carefully examined their wounds, others prepared for a well-deserved rest. Among them was Norm, also with us.
In recent days, Neteyam had become a constant presence in my nights in that cabin, offering me his company. After finishing our days, he would come to accompany me. We shared our experiences and anecdotes from the day until I closed my eyes, waking up in a capsule in the biolaboratory, and he would leave to rest in his Marui.
After tending to my hygiene, brushing my teeth, and gently combing my hair, I made sure to apply a light mosquito repellent cream to protect my skin. I settled into one of the hammocks, and thus, my avatar was ready to delve into relaxation.
Neteyam found his place beside mine, taking advantage of the empty hammock. As we conversed, we savored the serenity of the moment, sharing our thoughts and experiences from the day.
"Hey, Spider!" I heard Norm call out from beside us as he smacked my brother with his towel when he appeared, walking through the midst of everyone. I watched Norm, with a mischievous smile on his face, challenging Spider as he strolled through the crowd.
Spider responded to Norm's provocation with a mix of threat and irony, saying, "Your ass is mine."
