Under the golden glow of the sunset, I was riding alongside a group of brave warriors after sabotaging another supply convoy belonging to the RDA.

For the past 20 days, I had actively joined these ground attacks, seeking in them a way to distract my overwhelming mind.

Eternity stretched out before me, and loneliness threatened to devour my soul. I had lost everything, and with it, the fear of danger had faded, for I had nothing more to lose.

The adrenaline accompanying each attack provided me with a temporary escape from my thoughts and the sadness that haunted me. It was an opportunity to free myself, to disconnect from the emotional gloom that enveloped me every minute.

As I rode my pa'li back to High Camp, the wind gently caressed my face. I listened to the murmur of voices around me, hearing the tinkling of the weapon slung over my shoulders brushing against the saddle buckles with each step the pa'li took. The scent of the earth, dampened by the recent rain, filled my senses, immersing me in a feeling of freshness.

I found solace in immersing myself in my senses, attempting to focus my mind on my surroundings, preventing it from wandering into the shadows that haunted me.

What comforted me the most, however, was the bond with my pa'li. I sensed its heartbeats resonating and its tranquil breath gracefully coursing through its body. In that moment, a profound sense of peace and unity enveloped us, a harmonious fusion. The serenity emanating from this noble creature flowed into my own being, creating a tranquil embrace that provided unparalleled comfort.

When my companions turned right to head back to the shelter, venturing into the caves, a strong resistance welled up within me. I wasn't ready to return to that place where the wounds of the past still lingered.

Without hesitation, I took hold of my pa'li's reins and gently pulled them back to halt our progress. As the others maneuvered around me on their path, I gathered the reins, pulling them backward, steering us away from the trail.

Together, we trotted at a gentle pace, distancing ourselves from High Camp.

My heart didn't feel ready to return to that place filled with empty memories. In every corner, I could see Neteyam, Spider, and all those who were no longer with me.

That's why I sought solace in the forest, yearning for peace, and nature promised to heal my wounds.

As I ventured deeper into the thicket, I melded into perfect harmony with the surrounding nature.

The exuberance and beauty of the forest enveloped me, and soon I lost track of time.

It wasn't until the vegetation began to glow with its characteristic bioluminescence that I realized night had fallen upon us.

So, I headed back, my mind distracted, filled with memories of people who were no longer by my side, who had departed.

Suddenly, a small light caught my attention, and I focused my gaze on it. Clearly, I noticed it was a beautiful atokirina shining brightly above the pa'li's head, right between its ears.

The atokirina moved gracefully and slowly to my left, floating in the air.

Unable to resist, I took the reins to stop the pa'li once again. Then, I followed the movement of the seed with my eyes, watching where it was headed.
