For years, the Omatikaya clan has been clamoring to find a new hometree to settle in. But Jake, the olo'eyktan, refuses to abandon the place where they have survived since humans left the land so long ago. He argues that the safety of his people lies in the hanging settlements in the treetops, as he is convinced that humans will return sooner or later. However, today, after 17 years, Mo'at has finally felt the call of Eywa for the clan to establish themselves in a new mother tree. A new home for the clan to be as united as before. Mo'at hopes to not only reunite the clan but also restore the sacred connection with Eywa and nature that has been disrupted since the arrival of humans ....
I remember the stories I was told about the fall of the first hometree. It happened many years ago when I was still a baby, just like Spider. The loss of this sacred tree and the devastation it brought, were heart-wrenching for everyone. In fact, this tragic event was one of the main reasons why many humans, including my parents, joined the Na'vi in the Great War of Pandora. My parents, along with many others, gave their lives fighting to protect the Na'vi after their home was taken away from them.
Since then, Jake has taken on the important role of Olo'eyktan, and each family has built their homes in the hanging cabins. However, it is widely known that the Na'vi long to come together again in a new tree and restore the close bond among all members that they once enjoyed.
On a serene night, while sharing a peaceful dinner with Spider, Harper suddenly arrived with news from Norm: Mo'at was conducting a ceremony. Without wasting any time, we joined Harper and other companions in a helicopter, eager to reach the location of the ceremony. As the helicopter soared higher, heading toward the place Norm had pointed out earlier, Spider and I engaged in speculation, contemplating the possible reasons behind this celebration.
Since Harper's call had been so sudden and unexpected, both Spider and I were somewhat disheveled, having had no time to properly prepare. To deal with the slight night breezes, I managed to grab a shirt quickly before leaving to keep myself a bit warmer. However, Spider refused to put on anything else, claiming that he didn't feel cold.
Upon arrival, we found a grand ceremony in progress, where Mo'at was singing with solemnity and beauty. Her voice resonated in harmony with the surrounding nature, and her presence seemed elevated. It was clear that something important was happening.
... WE SING TO YOU, ELDER BROTHER, OF HOME AND HEARTH AND FAMILY, WE BESEECH YOU, ELDER BROTHER, TO JOIN WITH US, THIS CLAN, THE PEOPLE CRAVE YOUR SHELTER, LET US DWELL WITHIN YOUR ARMS ...
Many clan members, both Na'vi and humans, were present. But not the Sullys.
As soon as we arrived, we approached Norm, who seemed just as puzzled as we were. Spider wasted no time in asking him what was happening.
"It seems Mo'at has felt the call of a new hometree," he explained, trying to appear composed.
After a few minutes, the Sullys finally arrived, soaring on their Ikran. Jake landed first, right next to Norm, followed by Neytiri carrying Tuk. Then, Neteyam arrived with Lo'ak on his Ikran, and Kiri closed the formation on her own.
