From the moment I realized I was in love, I began to search fervently and urgently for my own path. I wanted to uncover who I was and what I desired for my life. Only then could I decide if my feelings for him deserved a chance.

In my eagerness, day after day, I sought out Neteyam. I made an effort to understand and assimilate what it meant to be Omaticaya. The sacrifices I would have to make, the challenges I would have to face, and the rewards I could potentially obtain. I needed to deeply understand what it meant to be a part of them.

While I was clear that I could never abandon my own body, I trusted that if I could manage to find a balance between the avatar and my human body. If I could achieve that equilibrium, I could venture forth and discover if something more than friendship could emerge between Neteyam and me.

So great was my need to decide, due to the storm of indecision that plagued me, that I neglected my own body. The endless hours in the avatar began to take their toll.

Fortunately, this situation did not last more than two months. Thanks to Jake, Neteyam noticed the change in my physical well-being and made me realize that I needed to find a balance to preserve my health.

Only one wonderful, blessed month had passed. Just a month in which my life overflowed with happiness and balance. A month in which, with Neteyam's help, I had managed to find the long-desired balance between the avatar and my body.

I had made the decision: I would start my training to become one of them, undergo the sacred ritual, and become a true Omaticaya. Mo'at, generous, had even offered to guide me on my path to becoming a Storyteller.

At long last, I had decided to give myself a chance with Neteyam, and everything appeared to align flawlessly. It felt like a moment of unparalleled perfection, where all the stars in the universe had converged to illuminate our path.

But then, that fateful day came when I saw it.

A new star was shining in the sky.

I was with Neteyam on our usual branch, on that cursed day when it appeared.

And we knew what that meant.

It was the RDA.

In an instant, every choice I had carefully crafted, every intricate plan I had woven, lost its significance.

Our lives underwent a profound transformation, a cataclysmic shift that shattered our dreams and left our meticulously laid plans in ruins.

ONE YEAR LATER

One year after the unsettling sighting of the spacecraft, our world was plunged into chaos and destruction. We were embroiled in a ruthless war.

Our lives unfolded hidden amidst the majestic mountains of Hallelujah, where both humans and Na'vi sought shelter. Mere survival became our sole occupation.

We had all converged in this new haven. The relocation of our machinery posed an immense challenge, particularly the painstaking transfer of the pressure-controlled labs housing the link chambers. We encountered a multitude of obstacles while transporting the essential equipment, reluctantly leaving behind cherished elements of our former life, including the sports fields and flourishing fruit and vegetable gardens, among others.

It wasn't any easier for the Na'vi, who had to once again abandon their home tree to live hidden among the mountains.

Despite living in hiding, we occasionally ventured into the forests in search of resources, fabrics, water, fruits, meat, and more.

Alongside Kiri, Spider, and Lo'ak, we sometimes ventured out simply for the need to breathe fresh air, escape the chaos, explore, and have some fun. Although we had to strictly follow established protocols, limiting our forays to daytime hours and nearby safe areas.

My thoughts had narrowed down to daily urgencies, to fighting for survival and the protection of our people. I had set aside my aspiration to become a storyteller and had dedicated myself to learning medicine, focusing on healing the wounded and saving as many lives as possible.

I had acquired skills in the use of firearms, displaying a dexterity and precision that surpassed my archery abilities. It was Jake who shared his knowledge in this regard with Neteyam, and in turn, he taught me.

Everything had changed irreversibly. However, amidst this transformation, something positive had emerged: the bond between humans and Na'vi had strengthened, and now we lived together, side by side, supporting each other as equals. Although the price to pay for this new balance was devastating.

I could no longer distinguish between humans and Na'vi; no one was 100% one or the other. The blend of our cultures and experiences had transformed us into unique beings, bearers of a duality that could sometimes be heart-wrenching. We were living witnesses of a world fading before our eyes, and at the same time, carriers of a hope born from the unity of our strengths and knowledge.

My relationship with Neteyam took a backseat. Although my heart longed to be by his side, I never had too much time to dwell on it again.

Both of us were overwhelmed by our responsibilities. He was dedicated to following in his father's footsteps, learning from him, training rigorously to be prepared, and trying to understand the strategies and attack plans executed by Jake. I, immersed in chaos, together with Kiri, devoted ourselves to helping people explore the vast world of medicine. Together, we learned fervently, absorbing knowledge from scientists, Mo'at, and other healers. We helped create creams, ointments, and healing drinks, applied bandages, and occasionally performed minor surgeries and sutures.

Despite everything, Neteyam and I managed to steal precious moments from time to time, escaping together by flying on Taw to our branch, which fortunately still remained safe and secure. Amidst adversity, we found serenity there and enjoyed each other's company.

However, time always seemed to slip away too quickly through our fingers. Sighs were interrupted by the relentless demands of our lives.

I just wanted to apologize for my absence and assure you all that I won't abandon this story. I may disappear from time to time, but I'll always return.
