Robert Baratheon stared at the letter with a pale face

Robert Baratheon stared at the letter with a pale face. The rest of his small council, now reduced to only two men, watched him carefully. It was clear that the Dragon Queen was winning and that staying on the king's side would no longer benefit them. However, before they could speak, the doors slammed open and several men rushed in. They were covered in blood and sweat. Behind them was a woman, her hair arranged in a braided crown of white, with purple eyes.

"So, you are the usurper of my brother's throne and the reason my cousin grew up without his parents." This was the Dragon Queen, standing before them in armour, covered in blood. Beside her was a man they now recognised as Khal Drogo, and behind them were three women. One held the head of the captain of the king's guard in her hand, while the others wore smirks on their faces.

Missandei stepped forward. "You are in the presence of Her Majesty Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, Queen of the Andals and First Men, Empress of the Bay of Dragons, the Supreme Ruler of Essos and Westeros, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Breaker of Chains, the Protector of the Realm, and the Mother of Dragons."

They watched as Robert Baratheon furiously screamed and charged at the woman, only for Khal Drogo to intercept and stab him in the stomach. "Jalan atthirari anni, yer tat vo astat anna rek kishi dozgo ki jin oiro mahrazh" (Moon of my life, you did not tell me that our enemy was a fat man).

Daenerys laughed as she watched the man gasp for breath. "Shekh ma shieraki anni mae ki vo jin oiro mahrazh hash mae killed anna brother over jin chiori rek tat vo zala mae" (My Sun and Stars, he was not a fat man when he killed my brother over a woman that did not want him).

Drogo nodded and walked over to the man, spitting on his face before decapitating him. Daenerys turned to the men in the small council. "Even in war, I have not become a kin-slayer. Be glad I let you keep your lives."

The two men fled, running down the halls in terror as the Targaryen sigil was once again raised within the keep. Daenerys slowly walked into the throne room, her family and soldiers behind her. They watched the Iron Throne in shock, now understanding why she called it the "Iron Throne."

Daenerys ascended the stairs, passing the blades before sitting down. History would write that, of all the rulers before her, Daenerys Targaryen I sat properly on the throne, leaning into it as though it were made for her. In the years following, the portrait of the armoured queen would become a symbol of Targaryen rule.

As she lifted her head and met her husband's proud gaze, cheers rang out and swords were raised. The bells rang loudly, symbolising the birth of a new reign. Once again, the Targaryen family had returned to power, and they would not fall from it.

In Winterfell, Arya Stark observed her brother's wife and smirked. The Tyrell woman was smart and knew how to speak, but that would not win her over. Arya stepped out of the shadows and walked into the hall, where many bowed. Her years in Daenerys's court had made her stronger and taught her how to survive. She had power, and she had learned how to use it.
