The Red Keep once stood tall as the home of the ruling family of the Seven Kingdoms, but Daenerys was not pleased with it. After conquering Westeros, she decided to make big changes. Fortunately, she had the money and manpower to tear down the Red Keep and rebuild it according to her vision. Drawing inspiration from Old Valyria, Dorne, High Garden, and 21st-century architecture, she had constructed what would become known to many as The Palace of Elysian.
A beautiful palace that in her past life only existed in her fantasy books. Her home was open but secure, as she had learned from her ancestors. The Royal apartments were the most secure, with secret passages that would only open to those who were loyal to her house. And if deep in her chambers was a ritual and magic room, that would be a secret for the next Targaryen Queen.
The story goes that when the Queen's home was completed, they struggled to name it. Many deemed it to be a home built around the most luxurious and open garden they had ever seen.
One day, the Queen herself declared it was beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect vision of the garden of the gods that she had dreamed of for years. At that moment, she said the word "Elysian."
A palace maid overheard it and watched her in surprise, for those words described their new ruler. The next morning, the queen awoke to find her people calling her home the Palace of Elysian—the home of their personal Elysian. It was rumored that she was so moved by the love her people had for her that she cried.
Daenerys stood in the middle of the throne room. The Iron Throne remained, in a way, with the gods' blessing and her dragon's flames. The throne shone. True dragon glass absorbed light and magic, and as a result, it always glowed. In the middle of the throne room stood the glowing silver throne made of over a thousand swords.
However, she did not care about the throne and walked out to look over King's Landing. She had conquered this place nearly two years ago and threw herself into improving the Seven Kingdoms. Her coronation had been delayed for the sake of the people.
Yet in a few hours, everyone would be arriving to see her crowned. She smiled down on the city and turned, sensing death behind her. Arya stood there, holding the hand of the youngest princess, her goddaughter. "Your Grace," the assassin said before glancing at the princess, who was looking over Westeros with keen interest.
Many forgot that Arya Stark was deadly unless they fought with her, and war and rebellion were something they had grown accustomed to.
As many other empires had heard of the Dragon Queen and attacked because they felt threatened, the Dothraki had been pleased, often getting the chance to kill her enemies alongside her or on her behalf. On occasion, the Faceless Men dropped in to ensure she and Arya still fought like true killing machines.
Khal Drogo had gotten used to his role as King Consort of Westeros and Essos. While he still maintained the moniker of the Great Khal and the Undefeated, the title he adored most was Father. Soon, he would persuade his wife to give him another child—or three.
