Blanket pulled up to my nose and legs curled up, I squatted in my bed, waiting for the clock on my phone to read 7:55 am.
A quick sideways glance over at Kathy told me that she was still asleep. She didn't have university until 11 o'clock, and accordingly she could sleep longer today.
Actually, we each had our own bedroom, but Kathy wanted to sleep with me in the guest room today, for whatever reason. And I didn't stop her, of course.
I glared around my surroundings. Should I turn on the light on my nightstand? Maybe it's too dark and Heeseung wouldn't see me properly.
My heart was beating against my chest. Why on earth was I that excited today. It was actually just a phone call like any other day before. I quickly grabbed the bottle next to my bed and emptied it in one go.
A few minutes passed, but nothing happened. In the meantime, my knee had started to bob nervously, and I chewed impatiently on my lower lip. It's actually 7:57 am. In three minutes would be midnight in Korea and the official start of Hee's 22nd birthday.
There's no way he forgot about it. I mean, it's his own birthday.
The next few minutes felt like an eternity, without anything stirring.
At just after 8 o'clock, I was flooded with a wave of snaps that all arrived at my phone at the same time. Since I had nothing to do anyway, I randomly checked Siu's video.
Flashing lights, a gloomy atmosphere, smoke and crowds everywhere, that's what was happening behind a hollering Siu.
Heeseung was throwing a party today??
I thought he planned it for tomorrow.
To make sure, I also watched the videos I received from Jake, Beomgyu and my brother.
No doubt, they were all invited to Heeseungs party, but I couldn't find himself on any of the videos.
I realized it's already 10 minutes past the appointed time and still no call in sight.
What if something happened?
Without wasting any further thought, I clicked the call button on my phone, but as expected, no one accepted. „What the heck are you doing?", I quietly whispered though my teeth's and dialed Siu's number.
„HYEOOOO! WHATS UP GIRLL!", a shrill voice suddenly greeted me, so that I almost threw my phone out of my hand in shock. Quick as a flash, I turned down the volume so as not to wake up the sleeping Kathy. „Holy lord. You scared me to death.".
„GOOOSH, ITS BEEN AGES!", she slurred, and of course I noticed she was stoned as hell. What on earth was going on there? Was it even possible to get in this condition within a few hours?
"Siu, do you know where Heeseung is? He promised to call me 10 minutes ago, but I can't reach him.", I explained, and a sudden huge grin appeared on her face. She stumbled back against the counter, by which she spilled her longdrink on her blouse. „HE'S RIGHT OVER THERE IN FRONT OF ME", Siu still yelled louder than still needed. „Wait! You will be proud of me, babygirl.".
Siu suddenly flipped her camera, showing the crowded living room of Heeseung's apartment. Even more smoke than before and the flashing multicolored lights, which were thrown around the room by the spotlights on the ceiling, made me squint my eyes.
Only after a few seconds, I could see what was happening in front of my eyes. A girl, with long blond hair and a figure just as gorgeous as Sunghoon's girlfriend's, was standing directly opposite Heeseung, slowly swaying to the beat of the music.
