"What is this thing?"

Thea fidget her fingers behind her back as she slightly smile. "Bracelet. I made it for you, Papa."

"I told you not to call me that. And this is a garbage." He threw the bracelet across the room and glared at Thea. "What a bastard child. Leave you useless thing!"

Thea cried as she ran away from their house. The very house that brought her nothing but pain and sufferings.

She just wanted to give the bracelet that she had made for her Father, however her Father was quick to kick her out and said some things that broke her heart. Her Father never really cared for her nor her younger sister, Ava. Although she doesn't know why her Father hated them.

Her Father, after a year remarried and had a child, that child is Ava. However, after a year as well, they got divorce and go their separate ways.

Ava never really cared if their Father was always absent and never showed up even though they were sick. It was always their Grandfather who cared and took care of them, for Ava it was already enough that they had their Grandfather. However, Thea has always been craving for their Father's love and attention, she would do her best to get notice by their Father, she would often join a contest in their School and won every trophy, but none of it were able to catch her Father's attention.

Thea at such a young age, could never understand why their Father never spare them a single glance nor offer them a warm hug and warm words.

Thea ran across the street and sat under a tree. She pulled her knees up to her chest and hugged them as she cried her heart out. "Papa." She mumble.

She heard a footsteps a few minutes later and when she looked towards the noise, she saw a little girl wearing a big green t-shirt tucked in with her denim short.

'Disgusting' Thea thought as she scoot away from the girl.

"Stop talking to me." The girl gasped as she slightly chuckle and rubbed the back of her head. "Hindi ako nakaka-intindi ng English eh." Natatawang tugon nito.

The girl tucked a strand of Thea's hair behind her ear and smile at her. She grabbed the end of her t-shirt and pulled up as she wipe Thea's tears using them. "Wag ka na umiyak." She stood up. "Tignan mo, butterfly.

She smiled widely as she pointed at the butterfly and stare at them. Thea sat there, staring at the girl in front of her, she thought that this girl is weird. Instead of giving her a handkerchief, she wiped Thea's tears using the hem of her shirt. She's weird for telling her Mom that she will leave for a bit because she's upset, she's weird for approaching Thea despite the fact that they were strangers to each other. She's weird to think that those butterfly were always there to somewhat comfort her whenever her Mom's scolded her. She's weird for wearing that big green t-shirt that looks like it actually belongs to her Father.
