Two weeks went by so fast.
Chan knew he had to gather his friends before his departure. He wanted to spend some quality time with them and the party was settled in Felix and his home and everyone was there.
As the day of the party arrived, Felix still carried the weight of his sadness, his heart aching at the thought of Chan's imminent departure. However, he decided to put on a brave face, knowing how important it was to Chan.
Chan greeted each friend with a warm smile and embraced them tightly. He could see the happiness on their faces for his new opportunity.
As the party kicked into full swing, Chan observed Felix from a distance, watching as his roommate engaged in conversations with their friends. Changbin approached Chan, concern etched on his face.
"Hey, Chan, you doing alright?" Changbin asked, looking at Chan and then to Felix direction.
Chan forced a smile. "Yeah, I'll be fine," he replied, his tone lacking enthusiasm.
Changbin raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. "You don't seem too convinced yourself," he noted.
Chan sighed, his gaze fixed on Felix. "I'm just worried about him," he admitted, his voice tinged with sadness. "I don't know how he'll cope with my absence. I'm worried if he'll be okay"
Changbin placed a reassuring hand on Chan's shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll take care of him," he assured, offering a supportive smile.
Chan nodded appreciatively, taking another sip of his drink to gather his thoughts. Feeling a surge of determination, he made his way towards the microphone, the room falling into a hushed silence as all eyes turned to him.
Clearing his throat, Chan took a deep breath, ready to address his friends. "Hey, everyone," he began, his voice steady yet filled with a touch of vulnerability. "I want to thank you all for being here tonight. It means a lot to me."
Chan's gaze sweeping across the familiar faces of his closest friends. "I wanted to gather you all here before I leave for Australia. As some of you already know, I have been given the incredible opportunity to be the director of the new JYP company in Australia," Chan continued. "It's a big responsibility, and I believe it's the right step for my career growth. But it doesn't make saying goodbye any easier."
Chan continued, his eyes meeting Felix's briefly. "I know my decision to leave for Australia has come as a surprise, and it's bittersweet for me too," he confessed, his voice filled with sincerity. "But I want you all to know that this is an opportunity I can't pass up. And I promise, no matter the distance, our friendship will always remain strong."
Tears welled up in Felix's eyes as he listened to Chan's heartfelt words. He felt a mix of emotions—sadness at the thought of Chan leaving, but also a sense of pride and admiration for his friend's courage to pursue his dreams.
Chan's voice grew more determined as he spoke, his words resonating with each person in the room. "I want us to cherish the memories we've created together and continue supporting one another, even when we're apart," he declared.
Chan's gaze locked with Felix's, and his voice softened. "I'll miss you... I'll miss you all, thank you all for coming."
The room erupted into applause once again, the atmosphere charged with a renewed sense of unity and love.
Minho left Jisung side and approached Chan, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Hey, old man," Minho greeted, his voice lighthearted.
