BECKY'S POV

I don't make eye contact with anyone as I ate my breakfast quietly. I stare at my plate while the face of my uncle flashes through my head.

'Sometimes you have to take this life as it comes. You have to learn how to roll with the punches.'

'Don't trust anyone.'

Andreas' face rushes into my mind. I clench my hand around my fork; my hands start to shake. I don't shake in anxiety, or fear-it was out of anger.

"Hey, B?" Calum's voice pulls me out of angered thoughts.

"Yes?" I ask harshly.

"Whoa. Now mom's mad." He snickers while he drinks juice from the carton. Letting my rage get the best of me I throw my utensil that was next to me (which happened to be a knife) at him. Calum looks at the juice carton that is now dripping from the knife that sliced into the carton.

"Good aim." He says. I get up and stomp over to him.

"What are you talking about?" I ask him. I pull the knife out from the carton and the liquid slips to the ground.

"I missed." I reply darkly. Calum gulps. I take notice of how close we are. Calum leans down to my face and I distance myself.

"What are you doing?" I ask him. His face flushes in embarrassment.

"I-I thought I-uh-" He stutters.

"Dude. I'm with Austin." I say. My words tumble out before I could stop them.

"You are?" He asks sadly.

"I mean...yeah. Remember you told me." I trail off.

"O-oh yeah. I forgot." He says.

"You forgot?" I ask him.

"Well, yeah." He says awkwardly, "I'm-I'm just going to-yeah." He heads to the living room, but he bumps his shoulder on the doorway. I giggle at his action. He gives me an embarrassed smile and walks away.
