BECKY'S POV
"You don't want to go solo do you?" I ask him, but before he could answer me I do it for him.
"Of course you don't. Now let me in." He unlocks my door and I slid into the seat. I look over at Justin and I he's wearing a bewildered look on his face.
"Are you sure about this?" Austin asks.
"I'm trusting you with my life Austin. I'm questioning it as much as you are." I say as I look at him. I notice something change behind his eyes. He nods sharply and looks back out on the open road.
"You might want to buckle up." Austin says. I do just that as soon as those words leave his lips. I notice Austin doesn't have his seatbelt on.
"Aren't you going to buckle yourself?" I ask. He shrugs.
"I'm too cool for seatbelts." He gloats. I scoff and reach across him and buckle him in myself.
Austin stare at me like I've just walked on water.
"Better safe than sorry." I say simply and look back on the so called 'track". I hear Justin revving his engine and Austin does the same but louder in response.
A girl dressed in a skimpy outfit steps in between the cars and shout command, but I can't hear a anything beside my loud heartbeat pulsing in my ears.
I feel the car jolt forward. My stomach begins to go tumbles as our speed increases.
I clutch the seatbelt across my chest. I finally have the nerve to open my eyes and I look next to us and I see the girl in Justin's car laughing like a maniac.
Is this bitch serious?
Both of the cars take a sharp turn and my breath hitches.
"Oh my God." I whisper to myself.
I notice the road merges from two lanes to one. Justin pulls in front of Austin's car.
"Fuck!" Austin rages. I look at him: his jaw is clenched, his veins in his neck and arms are popping out. I feel my whole body shudder, but I choose that its from the fact that the car I'm in is going 200 mph.
Austin's speed increases and he drives harshly on the gravel on the side of the road. He flips Justin off as he passes him; Justin is fuming. I quickly push down Austin's hand.
As soon as Austin is on the road again. He pulls out his phone.
"Put that fucking phone down right now Austin!" I shout.
"Would you relax? I'm just checking the time, Christ." He says.
"What? You got a hot date? What could be so important that you had to check your phone in the middle of a race?" I ask him harshly. He locks his phones and immediately presses on the gas.
"You don't have to speed up. Justin's behind us, remember?" I look at him for conformation. He looks at the rear view mirror, before he looks to me.
"It's not Justin I'm worried about beating right now." He says and look back at the road. I see a railroad sign whip passed us and it clicked. The train track appears seeming to go parallel with the road. I hear the horn of the train and I shrink back into my seat again.
"Aw fuck it." Austin says and starts to slow down.
"What are you doing? Why are you slowing down?" I ask him.
"$500 isn't worth you life, B." He says.
"From the second I came to your car I knew I had my life at risk." I say. Before Austin could say anything else I add, "I trust you, Austin."
