AUSTIN'S POV
After I put away my books. I sprint to the cafeteria.
I slow down my pace as I near the door. But, nothing could've prepared me for what happened next.
Right when I walked through the doors I was greeted with a tray in my face.
The food and the blue tray plopped to the floor.
I wipe my eyes that are smeared with mashed potatoes, I should've known who the person was who did this to me.
He's laughing in my face.
Jimmy. That fucking bastard's going to pay.
My hands are clenched in fists as I try to control my anger, a few people start chuckling at the sight of me. Soon, the entire lunch room is hooting in laughter at Jimmy's stunt.
I see Becky out of the corner of my eye. She quickly rushes to me and tugs me behind her into the girls' bathroom.
She quickly looks under the stalls before she locks the door.
She sits me down on the counter before she grabs a wet paper towel to wipe my face.
She's so kind. She's so sweet.
"He should've done this to you." She says quietly. She's too focused on wiping my face off, as well as my shirt, to notice how much I'm taking in every detail of her face.
My palms are beginning to sweat at how close we are right now. She's standing between my legs. It would be so easy to harshly grab her hips and smash my lips into hers.
"Done." She says happily.
"Th-thanks." I stutter. I didn't really needed her to this. I probably could've cleaned this up by myself, but the irritation in my eyes from the food contradicts it.
"No problem. And I'm really sorry about Jimmy, I'm sure it was an accident." She says innocently as she tosses the paper towels away. I look down at my shirt.
Well, looks like this shirt is done for.
"Hey, Becky?" I ask.
BECKY'S POV
"Yeah?" I answer Austin.
"Would you mind grabbing a shirt in my locker?" He asks me.
"You keep extra shirts in your locker?" I ask him. He slightly blushes.
"Yeah, it's kind of a weird habit I have. Changing shirts, that is." He adds.
"Sure. I'll get it for you. What's your combination?" I ask him. After he tells me his combo I'm about to walk out the door.
"Don't answer it unless you know its me. You could get in trouble if the principal finds a boy in the girls restroom." I warn him.
"Knock 5 times, so I'll know it's you." He suggests, I nod. I start on my journey.
Locker 274
274
274
Here it is!
I unlock his locker and I'm shocked by what I find pinned up in his locker.
A poem.
Well, let's go back to the day when I saw your face for the very first time.
Let's go back again, when I held your hand, and stared into your eyes.
'Cause I knew you were the one.
With you my life has just begun.
Baby you can count on me.
'Cause your heart is in my hand.
It looks as if he was going to write another verse, but it's crossed out. I can faintly make out a few letters. I swear I can see my name in those scribbles.
You're just tripping, B.
Focus at the task at hand.
I rummage through his locker before I feel fabric. I pull it out. It's a regular gray long sleeve shirt.
(A/N: Can you feel that fabric, Becky? It's boyfriend material. C: )
I walk back to the girls restroom where I knocked 5 times and rush in once Austin opens the door. I exhale loudly.
"Here. This was the only one I could find without taking ages." I toss Austin his shirt. Without hesitation Austin removes his dirty, food stained shirt. My eyes go wide as I quickly turn around and face towards the mirror.
Huge mistake.
I couldn't help but stare at his bare chest.
Austin notices me drooling over his body and smirks at me in the mirror. My face instantly turns red.
"Well, if that's all th-that you need. I-I'll just go now." I stutter.
Why am I so nervous now? You've literally seen Jimmy shirtless so many times.
Shit, Jimmy! Oh, God he's going to kill me!
I'm about to exit the restroom, but Austin stops me.
"I'll see you soon, yeah?" He asks right after he slips on his gray shirt.
"Y-yeah." I stutter again. He chuckles.
