BECKY'S POV
"So how's school going?" My dad asks, I shrug.
"It's okay. I made a new friend." I comment.
"Really? What's her name? Maybe you could ask her to come over sometime for dinner." He suggests.
"His name is Austin. And, I don't think that would be a good idea..." I trail off.
"Oh. It's a male friend." He cringes at the word 'male' as if he wasn't one himself. I chuckle.
"Is he nice?" He quizzes.
"Yes, he is dad." I reply emotionlessly.
"Do you like him?" He asks.
"I-I'm dating Jimmy, dad." I remind him.
"I know, I know. But, do you like this Austin guy as a person?" He asks.
"He's an okay guy, I guess. He's super sweet and really smart. Plus, he doesn't act stuck up unlike most guys at my school." I say. My father sighs and puts his fork down with a serious look on his face.
What did I do?
"Honey, have you thought about making friends that are-I don't know-girls?" He asks, my jaw drops.
"I have friends that are girls!" I exclaim, he looks at me calmly.
"Name one." He demands.
"Rah Rah is my friend. " I defend.
"She doesn't count. You two grew up together." He claims, I sigh.
My phone starts dinging. No, not ringing or beeping. My phone dings.
From: Jimmy
Hey, B what are you doing right now?
To: Jimmy
I'm eating dinner with my dad.
I put my phone back down on the table and it dings again. I decide to ignore it and try to finish my dinner. My dad was about to say something, but my phone goes off multiple times.
"Are you going to answer that?" He asks with a knowing smile. I groan as I shovel food into my mouth while checking my messages. I almost choke as I see who the texts are from.

B call me. I want to hear your voice.
From: Jimmy
I love you.
From: Jimmy
Are you ignoring me?
It's not those texts that almost made me choke, it was the next one that came across the screen.

Is your boyfriend being clingy again sweetheart?
Oh God, I thought this guy forgot about me.
To: Unknown
That's none of your business. Please stop texting me.
I was just about to set my phone down when the number replied to me almost instantly.

Why would I do that? It's fun watching you squirm ;)
A winky face? Stupid flirtatious jerk.

I swipe away Jimmy's message.

Stop texting this number. Just leave me alone please.
