AUSTIN'S POV
"I think this is it, Austin." Sel mumbles to me.
"You think so?" I ask her. She nods.
"When do we head out?" I ask everyone at the table.
"We thought we'd leave it up to you. Since its your battle plan." Sel says. I sigh.
"Sundown?" I ask them. They all share a look.
"What?" I exasperate.
"Remember the last time we hit at sundown?" Calum asks carefully.
"So you want to do this in broad daylight?" I ask them. Michael nods.
"Hell no! Too many casualties. Too many ways we could be fucked. We're going at sundown. I don't give a fuck if it was around the same time we went when Becky got kidnapped." I say firmly.
"We shouldn't say 'kidnapped'. She's not a kid." Luke says. I give him a 'are you kidding me?' look.
"We should say 'Beckynapped'." Ashton says. I groan in annoyance.
"You guys are fucking stupid." Calum says.
"Thank you." I say.
"It should be 'Becknapped'. Haven't you ever conjugated the verb –'napped'?" He asks. I groan again.
"It's not the verb 'napped' you idiot; she's not sleeping. It's the verb 'kidnapped' –'napped' as in a slang term for nab, or nabbed, or seized." Ashton retorts.
"If you conjugate the verb it would be 'kidnapped' or 'kidnapping'. Therefore, if you have the word or in this case name, 'Becky' you would conjugate it by taking off the 'y', you moron." Calum defends.
"You would not take off the 'y'!" Ashton exclaims.
"Yeah you would!" Calum yells.
"Would not!" Ashton argues.
"When's the last time you conjugated anything!" Calum spits.
"I conjugated your mother last week!" Ashton shouts.
"You will not bring my mother into this! She hates English class!" Calum shouts back.
(A/N: Who's laughing? Bc I am and I wrote this...no, I don't have a life)
"Did you contact Shawn and his crew?" I ask Sel.
"Yeah. They said they looked over the plans and they're ready." Sel answers.
"Oh yeah, I was talking to Liam too and he said-" Ashton starts
"Liam? Who's that?" I ask.
"They run a few branches in California. They used to be tight with her father. They said they'd do anything to get Becky back." Calum says.
"So, you just let them join in without telling me?" I ask him harshly.
"We need all the help we can get, Austin. Remember the last time-"
"Alright, alright. I get it. Are they good fighters?" I ask him.
"Some of the best." Ashton chimes in.
"Well I guess it's alright. I just don't want to overwhelm Becky when we find her, you know?" I ask them. Luke nods and looks down at his phone.
"You think..." Luke trails off; my attention goes to him, "Never mind." He says.
