SUMMARY

Muichiro's main goal is to protect Mizukawa. He doesn't care if he dies.

Muichiro was visibly shaking, in the presence of Uppermoon one was a big deal. He could only grip his blade shaking as he started intently. The demon doesn't seem to be attacking. Muichiro notices some bystanders, frozen in fear, to scared to move. He turns his gaze back on the demon quickly. Muichiro could feel his knees give out on him as if the demon's aura was pushing him down.

"You are.. a hashira.. correct?" The demon spoke again.

"Yes." The Mist Hashira answered.

"Such potential at a young age is certainly.. impressive.." he lead on. The demon squinted his many eyes to examine the poor boy. "Let me guess. Your mission is to protect this village from me?" Muichiro doesn't know why he is communicating with the demon. Maybe to buy himself with any extra time he can get. He knows he won't win this battle, why not spare himself if no one else will. "Yes." Muichiro finally drew his blade. He took a stance as he finally got over his paralyzing fear from the strength of the demon before him.

"What is your name?" the demon asked.

"Muichiro Tokito."

"I see.. my name has died along with it's legacy.. you are from the family I left behind.." He continued to study the young boy. "My blood and cells may have watered down for generations.. but it still seems to be strong.." Muichiro was in shock. "I know my family was the offspring of the original sun breathe users but why are you making such bold accusations?" Muichiro spat at him. The demon's face changed to one of annoyance. He didn't answer Muichiro's question, only feeding into his statement. "My human name was Tsugikuni, Michikatsu.. despite faltering against me.. you still drew your blade and stared me in my eyes. Remarkable.." the demon praised his descendant. "You are only fourteen. Correct?" Muichiro nodded. "Outstanding."

Muichiro had enough of the demon praising his strong bloodline. Muichiro could see Ginko start to fly above them. She looked extremely stressed and worried. Muichiro couldn't tell his crow to go get any backup. He doesn't know if they will even make it in time. It took muichiro almost two days to arrive on a train. He surely couldn't hold out on uppermoon one. "Ginko! Tell civilians to depart from the area!" Muichiro shouted at his crow, his best friend, his companion. He could see Ginko have a worried expression on her face. Muichiro gave her an affirmative nod before she flew off to the other side of town.

"Interesting.. you must have figured out that back up won't arrive soon.. my descendant.. you are already showing great courage." The demon spoke again. Muichiro snapped his head back quickly. He couldn't stand here anymore. He is supposed to protect Mizukawa.
