————————————— Charles was smiling at his phone as Max was starting to stir awake right beside him. "Morning" mumbled next to him as the dutchman yawned and stretched his limbs. Curling up against the monegasques bare chest, kissing his cheek while caressing his arm with his fingertips. "What are you smiling at? He asked curiously trying to peek on Charles's phone screen. "Instagram" he just smiled turning his phone in front of his boyfriend's face. Max smiles while rolling his eyes cuddling even closer to his boyfriend. "What?" Charles asked him bemused. "The caption. Of course the organisers suddenly want to show how inclusive and supportive they are to the world" he said a bit annoyed first. "But then again I'm also kind of proud of us" he then smiled looking in his boyfriend's eyes resting his palm on his cheek while planting a delicate kiss on his nose. "That we can give other kids a better example. That you can love who you love. Even at the top steps of a very male dominated sport" Charles turned more on his side so he was now properly facing the dutchman. "Who are you and what did you do with my boyfriend?" He asked playfully pinching his sides as he asked him an Max squeals "Chaasrles!" "I'm sorry mon amour, I'm joking" he says as they exchange a kiss once more before they settle in to staring at each other's eyes again. "It's just., I haven't had a good example. It took me so long to come to terms with myself and my feelings for you. Though we are all good now and dad is now obviously very supportive. It hasn't always been like that. I haven't had anything in my youth that showed me it was okay to love a man and that I could still achieve my goals and dreams in motorsport. And yes you are right I'm still not a fan to be used as a poster child by the FOM and the FIA. But I am proud we can possibly be a glimmer of prove for all those young boys and girls. Who, just like me haven't had that example. That you can do it both, be in love and achieve your dreams" As Max locked eyes with his boyfriend again, he was met with some teary green and gold. "Charlie, babe what's wrong?" He asked concerned as Charles just laughed a throaty laugh through his tears "because I'm a sap and a hopeless romantic. But most of all because I'm just fucking proud of you Max, of you and how far you've come!" He says as he connects their lips once more.
