How did arwen and gilmi become a thing?

A bit of story mode and chat mode

One day Sauroman was bored so he decided to make a love potion. The potion would make the couple who first linked eyes fall madly in love and it could one be broken by eating one of Gollums fishies. He went to rivendell placed the potion on Arwens dresser and his behind a column to see if she would take it. She took it and left her room. She went down the hall where she bumped into Gilmi. There eyes met and they instantly hit it off.

At dinner that evening.

Elrond: you seem awfully close with Gilmi... *wiggles eyebrows*

Arwen: well of course daddy! I mean it's true love!

Elrond: *chokes on wine* O_O are you serious? What about Aragorn?

Arwen: I dumped him-

Elrond: good for you!

Arwen: and realized my true love is with Gilmi!

Suddenly Elladan and Elrohir walk in as Elrond drags them to the table

Elrond: something is seriously wrong with Arwen...

Elladan: she looks fine.

Elrohir: relax pops! It's a fling to get over Aragorn!

Elrond: doesn't look like a fling....

Elladan: but why the dwarf? She could have aimed for more sophisticated *hair flip* elves that are dying to court her!

Elrohir: like us! *points too them* uh oh looks like it's getting PG 13 over there....

Elrond: not anymore! *runs over and separates the two* TOO MUCH PDA!

Arwen: DAD! I was demonstrating my affection for Gilmi!

Elrond: oh it was more than demonstration. Your not dating him.

Arwen: are you gonna try and stop me? *sassy hair flip*

Elrond: why yes I will and I can. Gilmi I forbid you to ever see my daughter ever again.

Gilmi: ITS TRUE LOVE YOU CANNOT DENY US THAT RIGHT!

Arwen: THIS IS MAHOGANY!

Elrond: sons! Take her to her room and lock her in there! Make sure the windows are sealed shut!

As Arwen was being dragged away crying out for her beloved Gilmi he was being dragged back to Erebor.

Elrond wondered if it was a little fling at all.
