Imagine 4 part 2

And so that very evening Merry Brandybuck knocked on your door as your mother answered it.

"Why hello Merry! Wonderful to see you! How can I help you?"

"Is Y/N home?"

"She is! Y/N! Merrys here!"

You grinned as you ran out to greet him with a friendly hug.

"Hi Merry!" You laughed as he smiled brightly.

"Are you busy tonight?"he asked shyly scratching the back of his neck.

"No I don't believe I am." You smiled

"Wanna go to the prancing pony with me?"

Mom gave a thumbs up where she thought she wouldn't be seen as I grinned.

"I'd love to. Let me just change a bit. It will only be a minute. " he nodded eagerly as he came in talking to your mom as you changed into a blue dress and fixing your hair into a half up half down braided do. You hoped this would work and that you would impress him. Because you did have feelings for all of them and this was a sort of expirement to see if those feelings grew stronger.

You quickly rushed downstairs as Merry stood with his jaw dropping. He quickly composed himself as he held an arm out "ready?"

You nodded as your mother squealed loudly. You shot her a glare as you left.

"These are for you." He handed a bunch of lilies

"My favorite! " you grinned

The drive to the prancing pony was delightful one, you held hands the entire time and there was always laughter. After you arrived and had something to drink Merry cleared his throat.

"Would you care to dance?" He asked shyly

You nodded eagerly as he put his hand on your waist while yours was on his shoulder leaving the others to entwine.  You moved around the room with bright eyes.

At the end of the night you both were on your doorstep once more almost midnight. You had a blast and you knew there was a connection.

"I had fun." You smiled

"Me too." He smiled and kissed your cheek. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight Merry." You grinned.
