You walked in from your previous date as  you were hugged tightly scaring the crap out of you.

"MOM!" You yelled "what the heck?"

"I just have to know! Is it true that your courting all three hobbits?"

"Uh....kinda....?" You tilted your head. "Where did you hear-"

"Petunia. She said you kissed Frodo-"

"On shire help me now." You muttered "I don't want to talk about it."

"Fine. But you need to tell them and be honest and choose one of them to go steady with. "

"Yes because apparently after you meet someone and go on a date it's obviously the time to go steady." You mumbled.

You went to bed and thought about it. She was right. You will tell them tomorrow.

The next morning all three hobbits went to your house dressed in nice clothing all arriving at the same time.

Merry: hello lads...

Pippin: *eats mushrooms* hey!

Frodo: *holds roses* hey...

Merry: we aren't..... All waiting for the same person are we?

Pippin: I'm pretty sure we are

Merry: well... Do you have business with her or?..

Frodo: I was going to ask her if she wanted to restart our date...

Merry: YOUR date? I asked her out first!

Frodo: what? But she went on a date-

Merry: and what do ya mean restart your date? Did you hurt her? *getting uptight*

Frodo: no! I would never hurt y/n! Petunia stalked me and Y/N got me out of a situation that's all..."

Pippin: I heard Petunia said that Y/N kissed Frodo... *eats mushroom*

Merry: we all know that whatever she says isn't true!

Frodo: well.....

Merry:WHAT??????

At that moment you stepped out as the hobbits faced you.

Pippin: well my purpose is done. I'm off to find renni to steal from farmer Maggot. *runs away*

Merry: tell me these rumors aren't true!

A lump rose in your throat "I need you guys to understand something. Please listen." You said quietly

They all stared at how quiet you were.

"You are probably all aware that I am going to have to get married in several months. And my mother suggest I start courting some people to figure who I like. But the truth is I have feelings for both of you. And I figured I would give each of you a fair chance before deciding. And I'm so so sorry for not telling you. I thought it would be a lot more pressure on you both If I told you. I am really really sorry." You spoke with utter sincerity

They both gave looks of understanding and we're very hopeful that you had feelings for both but we're not too confident about being selected.

"So." Merry spoke "who do you chose?"
